Would you be on the Jury?

Post by dolomite2 »

Could anyone here be an impartial juror after all the publicity for the George Floyd trial?
Would like to have listened to the void dire process.

Regardless of the facts of what happened, the mob is expecting him to be guilty. If they don't deliver, you can expect even more violence / terrorism.

Yeah, few people can really be objective, and such persons need to remain anonymous for their safety.

The 911 operator testified she thought the video was frozen, then realized the cops really were on top of Floyd that long, and called their sergeant to say something was wrong

Defense going heavy on drugs and heart disease. They also say the crowd distracted the cops from realizing how long they were on top of Floyd. One of the witnesses was a trained mma fighter yelling “blood choke” and going into detail as an expert witness

Defense also says he was following training, but apparently police chief, supervisors and trainers are gonna testify AGAINST Chauvin

This is apparently the first ever nationally televised trial in Minnesota. The judge allowed cameras due to the public interest

To answer your question, nobody can be impartial in this trial.

And every juror that says that they can be is lying.

It has to be the most serious charge if the jurors don't have to prove intent - 2nd degree unintentional murder.

It's silly to think that Floyd, if he was just walking around at that moment, would have just dropped dead from a heart attack or from the traces of drugs in his system. Even if he eventually died of a heart attack, it was induced from the stress of having a knee on his neck for almost ten minutes.

There's video evidence of what the officers did.
The chaos of the situation doesn't change things - you are a police officer - you need to de-escalate.
Police who act like Chauvin need to be accountable and punished so that a. future officers know they cannot get away with extreme violence just because of their position and b. so that the citizens whom these police protect can be assured that they ( as citizens ) have rights within the protection of the law.

Eyewitness Donald Williams II said he called the police on the police while they pinned Floyd, cuz he thought he was witnessing a murder.

The AG asked why he didn’t just talk to the police who were already there. Williams responded, “we just didn’t have no connection. I spoke to them but not on a connection of a human being relationship”

I dont follow the trial.
Fucking guilty, end of story.

If the trial comes back any other way, there will rightfully be protests. I expect violence, it seems to be the only thing anyone understands at this point.

There will be violence and looting and burning no matter the outcome.

Almost no one, other than those doing the violence, understands violence.
