Violence
Re: Violence
I'm surprised CNBC is even showing this. They did edit out the worst parts of it. This thug is going to be charged with attempted murder and theft.

Re: Violence
I'm not a cop, prosecutor, or judge so I really have no "expert" opinion on what he will and won't be charged with if he is found but I am curious as to how YOU would prove he attempted to murder the Asian guy and what he attempted to (and/or did) take from him.

They did, dipshit.Walrus wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 5:26 pm Why isn't the mainstream media talking about this? After all, they claim they care about violence against Asians. I think it's obvious why.

Re: Violence
I live in a heavily Asian part of California and my wife is of course Chinese. As a result, I probably know more Asians than most people on here. They often tell us that they are afraid of blacks. They are not racist, but they see the higher number of crimes against them. Numbers do not lie. In America, we are used to hiding the truth and lying about it, but in China, they call it out.

Another one (this one is really bad):
"This whole thing was a big dick-waving contest, it's just that my dick was bigger than yours."
Re: Violence
I’ve seen this awful story on many of the far-left socialist lib pages too, but frankly thought it was fake news, until you reported it too
Re: Violence
I sometimes wonder if some of you shout at the sky: "You're fake -- you are not blue!"
Just because you do not like facts and reality, doesn't mean it's fake.

If you ever posted facts from reliable sources we'd have a better conversation. You have posted anything factual in a very long time.
Re: Violence
You claim the Asians you know tell you and your wife that they are afraid of "Blacks".Walrus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 6:25 pm I live in a heavily Asian part of California and my wife is of course Chinese. Even though I don't believe a lot of what you claim on here, I'll accept that as being true.
My guess from reading your posts on here is that you very well may be afraid of "Blacks" but that's just an assumption that may not be true so I won't go any further on that.
I'm curious, do any of the Asians you know have any Black friends? My guess is a few of them do. Are they afraid of their friends?
I know 3 couples who one is Asian and one is Black and they (from what I have witnessed and to the best of my knowledge) and their Asian and Black friends get along just great.
I know many Asians who are in business with Black people. Heck, the company I work for employs many Asian and Black people who work directly together and socialize together and they all get along just fine and the Asians are not afraid of "Blacks".
I know we are typically talking about Asians and "Blacks" who don't know each other (or don't like each other if they do know one another) when we talk about Black on Asian crime and I'm not saying that anyone should ever minimize Black on Asian crime but what is your insistent need to continuously point out to us that it exists?
Many if not most of us are well aware of it.
It's almost as if you are implying ALL Asians are living in constant fear of ALL Black people - and are right to do as such.
Re: Violence
Gutter, my point is that the media is full of shit. They make a big story about 1 or 2 crimes of whites committing violence against Asians, and suddenly they "care about Asians." They only care if it's not a black person who is doing the crime. They sweep it under the rug if it is. No one on here has even commented about the black teenagers that poured lighter fluid on a white man and burned him to death. Why is that? Are white lives somehow less important to people on here?
No, I'm not afraid of blacks. I'm afraid of people that live in certain locations. Would I be afraid if I were walking down South Central LA and some car blasting shitty rap music pulls up and confronts me? Of course. But it has nothing to do with them being black. Would I be afraid if I was walking by Allen Fieldhouse and some black students walk by me? No. Context is everything, race is nothing to do with it.
Very few Asians I know are good friends with blacks (at least out here). Again, it's not because they are racist -- it's because of many other reasons. I know a few that do, but it is the exception. Working in the industry I do, I've met a lot of blacks out here and none of my black friends support the riots that happened last year. They see through the BS narrative.
Anyway, we need to stop glorifying the gangsta thug life subculture and start glorifying some of the good things blacks have created. Jazz music for example, is among my favorite music. So many blacks were genius composers. We need more of this. The problem is, our government is subsidizing this destructive subculture and the media making it worse by convincing some blacks that they should be resentful of those who worked hard.

Chocked full of fear. Sad.

Re: Violence
Gutter, I answered your question, so here's one for you:
Why do you fail to acknowledge that blacks commit far higher amounts of crime than any other race? Is it because you are afraid of being called a racist? I assume this is the reason, right? It's a simple statement of fact, but people (especially whites on the left) are reluctant to admit it.

Wait, your wife is Chinese?
Why have you never told us this before?
That changes everything.

Why do you choose to accept those people as being a reliable source - of anything?
To me, news is news. It's up to me to decide what if any motivation the source may have that provides me with the news I see, hear, read.
Of course if I watch CNN or Fox they will most likely have different opinions of the same subject/story/news.
That's not "news" to me. That's "entertainment" with a "spin" about a news story.
When you refer to "the media" you are referring to the sources you choose to focus on. There are some sources that are super far right, some that are super far right, and some close to the middle. I choose to try and get my "news" from the middle.
I agree that "the media" is full of shit based on whatever agenda/s they may have but again, I will say to me, news is news.
When you say, "No one on here has even commented about the black teenagers that poured lighter fluid on a white man and burned him to death. Why is that? Are white lives somehow less important to people on here"?
I can only answer for myself. It's terrible what the Black teenagers did but why would I think it's any less or more terrible based on the race/s? All lives are important to me until "a life" proves to be a terrible person.
I appreciate your explanation in regards to if/when you choose to be afraid of Black people and when you don't and I feel it's a somewhat reasonable response. Until you say race has nothing to do with it.
I am convinced that in most cases if a White person was walking in downtown Lawrence at 2:00am and all of a sudden 4 Black guys came out of an alley and started followed that White person, my guess is that White person's internal fear meter would be different than if it was 4 White guys but hey, maybe I'm wrong.
Obviously you and I are different people living in different places with different friends. My point was trying to express that your experience/s differ from mine so maybe neither of our's should be considered the "norm". I have NO Black friends, co-workers, acquaintances, that I know of who "supported" rioters but I have plenty who supported "protests" and "rallies". In fact, I attended a couple. That's why I got pissed off and discredited your video of ABL ranting about George Floyd. He seemingly can't differentiate between a "rally" and a "riot". To me, that's just plain ignorance.
I agree that there is a b.s. narrative but I also feel it's complete bullshit to call peaceful "protesters" and "marchers" - "rioters" and "criminals".
I agree with you about the "glorifying" of thug culture but who the hell knows, maybe 100 years from now people will look at that "genre" and feel it was very important in the way it shaped our country.
I'm not going to elaborate on how feel about your saying, "the government is subsidizing this destructive subculture". It's very complicated and complex to me and right now all I choose to say it's something that will always divide our country.
Re: Violence
I don't fail to acknowledge crime rates and statistics. Facts are facts.Walrus wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 8:31 pm Gutter, I answered your question, so here's one for you:

I don't look to excuse criminal behavior but I try and understand it.
I know you feel differently but I don't feel I'm naive nor foolish to believe that many Black people have disadvantages in this country. I have made a point of educating myself and have experienced first hand the differences a Black kid who grew up in Englewood or Washington Park experiences compared to a White kid who grew up in an affluent suburb of Chicago.
OF COURSE that doesn't mean I am making excuses and defending Black people who commit crimes but I don't pretend to know what goes through the mind of a Black person who has committed a crime because I am not in their shoes/mind.
Am I afraid of being called a racist? All depends on who is calling me a racist. Is it someone I care about and respect? My hope is they would explain why they feel that way and then give me an opportunity to respond. I'm ashamed to admit there are indeed times where I have thought and even said racist things but that being said, I am someone who finds faults in all races and will call people out who I feel are deserving - no matter their race. Call me crazy because I am but as a whole, I'm more critical (not "racist") of White people (and Jews )than I am towards Black people. I think most people who know me well would attest to that.
