I don't blame Roy for leaving KU. He obviously loved and still loves KU. If anyone is to blame it is snake ass, RIP Dean Smith, probably the one man Roy respected and revered the most to give him no choice but to take the UNC job.

A damn shame he never won a Natty here and I hope that KU does the right thing but honoring him as such.

I had to do some deep diving to figure out if this was an April Fools type of thing. But it's not.

And good for him. He did this for over 30 years at 2 of the best basketball programs out there. I hate that he didn't win a Natty here but he loves Kansas. Consistently calls Allen Fieldhouse the best venue in college athletics. He loved coming back for the thing at AFH a few years back.

He'll be back in Allen again and he will get some well-deserved honors for him. Whether that's something named after him, something in the rafters, don't know what, but he'll deserve whatever he gets.
