Meanwhile, it should probably be added that Baylor played one of their best games of the season against one of the best teams in the country and Gonzaga played one of their worst games of the season against one of the best teams in the country.

If I had to guess, if they played each other 7 times, Baylor would have won 4 or 5 times.

Shame (to/for me) we will never know. I would be happy to watch 6 more Baylor/Gonzaga games.

I'd go 4-3 Baylor.

In that hyperthetical I'd also probably think Few would have the upper hand as far as game to game adjustments go since i think be is a better coach than Drew....although i am guessing many experts probably rank both in the top 15 active college coaches now.

According to Few, the only reason he is natty-less is because he's the most upstanding pure coach out there wading through the cesspool of cheaters in college hoops. It's completely unfair to him. If everyone else wasn't such a cheater, he would have hyper-thetically beat UCLA by 50 and Baylor by 40.

CnB out here defending UNC and their decades long academic scandal of which they weren't punished because of tens of millions of dollars spent in lawyer fees.

It makes sense.

Not sure about that. Gonzaga had not played a really good team in a very long time.

USC was a really good team.
UCLA who beat 2 seed Bama and 1 seed Michigan.
Baylor beat an injured Nova squad, the 2nd place team in the SEC Arkansas and Houston.

Were any of those teams really good?

It’s so hard to tell who was actually good this year.

Pac 12? The fighting grimeys? Who knows.

I think i'm comfortable in saying Baylor and Gonzaga were the best two teams.
Pac 12 did great in the tournament while B12, beyond Baylor, and B10 fell flat.

Baylor, based on Kenpom's metrics, didn't have that much more a difficult SOS than the Zags.
One team lost two games all season.
The other one game, the title game.

For the sake of discussion, both teams were billed as the best all year, but both teams also missed big chunks of the schedule.

How did their missed games compare to the average though?

Could one argue that missing time in the regular season may have helped the teams at the end of the year?

Either way, Baylor seems like a befitting champion for what was a dumpster fire of a season.

It is 100% true that Gonzaga and Baylor were the best teams. Gonzaga thoroughly beat every team they played. Kansas, Iowa, West Va, BYU, OU, Creighton and USC. Every game by double digits except maybe 1.

They also blew their load early having to work their assess off to beat a play-in 11 seed in overtime
