Harris
Yesufu
Ochai
Wilson
Dave

With Thompson, Braun, and Martin being the reserves (since Self doesn't generally go more than 8 deep, regardless of how deep we think we are every off-season).
That's not a bad lineup and rotation at all. Think Clemence gets some run though as Wilson's backup.
Hopefully, yeah

I could see that, especially if Bill tells Braun to come off the bench and shoot literally every time he touches it. That could be helpful for him.

My issue with Harris is that in every game he looks like the little kid who plays pickup with the older kids and everyone freaks out when he makes a 3 because he's 10 years younger than everyone else.
lol...spot on about Harris

OK here’s today’s take:

DMac
Jalen
Och
Bryce
Yesufu

Backup big: Cam
Backup 2-4: Braun (eeek but ok this might be swapped with Bryce)
Backup pg: Harris

That’s a lot more potent 8-man than anything we put on the court this/last year.

Uh, it looks pretty much the same other than trading Garrett for a Missouri Valley guard that would rather play the 2.

At the very least, I’m looking forward to our backup big being big enough to play big, and have ink.

But, I'm not wrong.

The day after the USC game I stated that our only choice was to bring in a transfer PG and try and run it back and hope that everyone gets better.

That's exactly what is happening. Majorly counting on big strides from our starters. Starters you hate more than anyone!

Just upgrading our big depth alone should be worth a swing of like 9 points a game.

And consistency and percentages should improve up and down. Maybe even Och does senior things!

But yeah. I’m just glad CnB didn’t pretend to see some kid shot in the head

Thompson, Ochai, Braun, and Wilson need to improve their three point shooting. That's where we're going to see real gains I think/hope.

That could have also made Marcus Garrett look like a good point guard

In my opinion, I think you have the chicken and the egg mixed up, and why I do think those guys are better next season.

If Ochai, Braun and Wilson each improve their 3 point shooting by 3-4% each, we will be, just from that alone, a much better team, if our style remains the same.

Need Svi-like freshman to sophomore improvement from 3 from Thompson.

Yeah, maybe.

though, Garrett’s primary pg duties this year involved trying to force a pass into a double teamed post.

Either way, I hope next year involves more guard activity, both on and off the ball

These two things can both be true: (1) he should have started that many games, on the roster we had, and (2) we would have been much better if the roster was such that he didn't deserve to start 26 games.
Sure, we would have been better with can't miss future NBA players at every single position. Unfortunately we don't have a single one of those on our roster this year or next year.
That says more about the program than it does Jalen.

He's Marcus Morris-lite. That's an enormous compliment, that for some reason gets taken as an insult.
Marcus Morris-lite in what way?

Jalen had a better season his freshman year than Marcus Morris did his.
And 2009 wasn't a powerhouse team.

Morrii were overwhelmed as freshmen.

But the thing about freshmen is, they become sophomores.

27-8, 14-2.

Jalen didn't play with Cole and Sherron.

Jalen might have had better stats, but he can't carry Marcus' jockstrap.

Not sure if we remember back to what Marcus was in 2009.
Wish those boreds still existed so we could see what was said.

It wasn't Morris 2010 and 11, I can promise you that.

And 09 was a pretty down year when it comes to the B12 ( why we were only a 3 seed despite winning the thing ).

Both Marcus and Jalen made the all-rookie team.
