Spaghetti sauce isn’t a cocktail mixer.
Agree for sure. Would much rather have a screwdriver or salty dog.

My go-to summer afternoon cocktail is vodka, grapejuice and club soda, in a tall glass. The soda cuts down on the grapefruit bitterness a bit, and gives it a little more of a refreshing feel.

Other than things like bourbon neat, I don't like drinks in rocks glasses. Too easy to have ten of them.
Tito's...San Pellagrino Pompelmo (grapefruit)….Elderflower liqueur...mashed fresh grapefruit.
Ty it...thank me later.

In the summer, we keep a 3 gallon glass tea jug filled with fresh grapefruit and Tito's poolside.

Good buddy of mine is obsessed with it. I'm afraid to try it, in the same way that I'm afraid to try Game of Thrones.

I really like bourbon. And while I especially like my bourbon drinks really strong with just a touch of 7-Up or Sprite, I don't like bourbon very much straight. But, no matter what other bourbon-aged, bourbon-flavored, beer stored in bourbon barrel, bourbon jerky, meat, bacon, chocolate, etc., I never like any of them. Never.

But, I also really like peanut butter, and now I'm very intrigued.

Bourbon on ice, let the ice melt a touch. Beautiful. But 7-up is good too

Yeah, I only add a touch of 7-Up and rely on the old-fashioned glass full ice to melt, and mellow the drink.

Ground beef can be delicious.
I don't care if a hard shell taco with beef is a 'gringo' deal -- often ( depending on my mood ) I prefer it to a street taco with cow tongue.

Sometimes at a 'fancy' restaurant with a bunch of non boring options, i'll order the burger because a. a burger can be delicious and b. i'm in the mood for a burger.
This is all true.
These were the days.

I made gringo tacos last night. With some of the last of the 'maters from my garden.

<bump>

Some guy was ashamed of eating expensive tacos on one of the other threads. Forget who it was, but I wanted to put this back up, so he can vent in amongst fellow taco aficionados.

I made homemade beef and cheese enchiladas on Sunday. Started with a chuck roast and some dried chile pods.

Theyre soaked, soggy, and use the sauce as like a gross cheesy beef soup.

Give me anything else on the mexican menu.
