Until tonight, I thought Toronto had been telegraphing Royals signs to their batters the last several games. Liking the change tonight

Up 7-0 feels different this year.

Hey hey hey hey. Last time roys 3 games above 500 has to be 2015, no?

Edit: did my own research. Was 8-2 in 2016. Man, I don’t remember that season starting as hot as it was.

I don’t remember much about 16 except injuries.

Tonight's game postponed. Doubleheader tomorrow. 2 7 inning games. 1:10 and 5:10.

I definitely wouldn't call myself a baseball purist, but my gut reaction to these 7-inning games is a no.

I’m on the fence but probably lean towards keeping them for double headers. As long as we don’t end up with 10 double headers every year. As long as they remain limited I think they’re OK

It screws with all the stats too. Terrible idea. I would rather limit pitching change practice pitches. You should be warm and ready. There was at least 20-minutes of dead time the last three innings.
And Salvy rocks.

Singer with a great outing today. 6 IP 6Ks 2 H and 3 BB. Royals leaving a ton on base. Have to capitalize.

Combined 2 hit shutout today gives KC 3rd best record in baseball.

Really need to win this TB series.

TB is just gravy on this homestand. Go 1-2 and you still go 6-4 for the stint. 21 of the following 23 are divisional games. That’s where the push needs to be. Win series there, and you are setting yourself up for meaningful baseball the rest of the way.

Btw, only teams to not drop a series are the Roys and Fish’s red hot Dodgers. Royals only non-win was a split with the White Sox after a game got rained out

And 16 of those 23 are road games. Starting that stretch 11-6 would be nice.

Would like to see better strategies for scratching out runs, but hard to not be pumped by winning.

Give Salvy a bat and the fans a snorkel right now is working. Royals now and for the rest of the season will always be able to pull out a couple of runs late. I care more about starting pitching to keep it competitive in the latter third. First few games, that was in doubt. Now, Royals are playing to their strengths.

The month of May is always the test for the Royals. Long road stretch; hoping for a more complete team. Sure been nice so far.
