I've seen the needle and the damage done.

By now you gotta figure everyone who wants it has got it. Now just the lobsters left?

24 hours out from the 2nd dose. Arm is a little sore where they injected it. I just bought a Surface Pro.

The cdc rochelle walensky gal was on tv this morning telling us that if we are outside, all by ourselves, fully vaccinated ,we should wear a mask.

I'd agree with that.

Not in all places, appointments still get grabbed very quickly here.

And it's not just anti-vaxers, it's laziness. Can't find it now, but Arieh Kovler had a lot of tweets about this a few months ago, when they were having the same issue in Israel, only it's worse here because people are generally not as educated here.

Anything that is "opt-in" is very difficult to get people to do. Especially if they would need to take off a few hours of work to do it.

I doubt that is what she said... But she's such a disaster I guess it wouldn't completely shock me.

She absolutely did not say that:

It's near the end of the interview. She just said that they are still looking into it because it is complicated. Sounds to me like they are just hesitant to tell people it's officially OK because of the rising cases and hot spots.

I'd be more interested in hearing a statistical breakdown of the new severe cases and deaths. If they are all unvaccinated, her recommendations are once again going against science.

If im outside by myself......AND vaccinated. I dont need a mask. Not complicated .

If I'm by myself i dont need a mask either way so. I dunno.

I personally don't think we are ever going to get to whatever magic "herd immunity" number is needed. Some people simply will never get the vaccine due to their refusal to do anything that is proposed. Others seem to be looking at this and saying "if I still have to wear a mask and still can't get together with people and still can't..... then why would I get an experimental shot that doesn't really change anything in my life other than to decrease the percentage chance of me having serious symptoms if I do happen to get it?"

Honestly, I get that line of thinking. I have serious questions about all of this.

heard a take on the continued use of masks by the vaccinated, even when outside, that makes a ton of sense

set an example for those currently unable to get vaccinated...kids
