So very completely different.
Would you be on the Jury?
Re: Would you be on the Jury?
Since oussie likes to play hypothetical.... what if the shooter was the Dad of girl about to get stabbed. Would it be wrong then? Because if someone is actively trying to stab my daughter, and i have a gun, they're getting shot.
Some of you only care because the cop was the shooter. Be real.
Oussie trying to be a civil rights activist in this thread, but his racist whiteness/privilege showed when he decided to use a racial slur. Busted.

Illy going full meltdown this morning
Re: Would you be on the Jury?
You're the best.
I'd pay good money to see what you look like in real life.

Re: Would you be on the Jury?
No it isn’t. In the time the peace officer needed to unholster his weapon, point at the assailant who called for his help, the peace officer should have taken the path “of do no harm.”
Mace, taser, billy club. He was close enough to do all of these things.

Re: Would you be on the Jury?
Is that fair to the girl she is trying to stab?
You don't mace, taser, or billy club people who are actively stabbing or attempting to stab people.
This is the twightlight zone.

Re: Would you be on the Jury?
From a police policy/protocol standpoint, I am leaning towards this, or at least think that's the direction it needs to go. Less dead people.
But, again, if I am in that situation and a loved one is the one about to get stabbed, and all I have is a gun, I am shooting her.
Re: Would you be on the Jury?
Ahh that's it. Or i have minority family members. I also have law enforcement family members. I also have family friends who literally operate a business that fights for equity for minorities within school systems thru training/education (and often untraining) on racial bias and how it impacts school systems.
What people like oussie do is helpful to neither.
Also, using racial slurs is pathetic and he should be embarrassed. All the things you people beg pdub to ban people for and not even a hint of it when oussie has now at least twice i can remember used racial slurs.
Re: Would you be on the Jury?
Illy going full Lobby now. I know or have ______ friends/family.
And, for the record, ousdahl did not use a racial slur.

Yes.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Fri Apr 23, 2021 9:14 am But, again, if I am in that situation and a loved one is the one about to get stabbed, and all I have is a gun, I am shooting her.
And if we want to move forward in the US to limit/redefine the use of deadly force for officers, I think that's a good conversation.
Re: Would you be on the Jury?
Theres a lot of ultra wokeness in here and it's not limited to illy.
Cascadia's saddle is pretty high for a guy that wanted to shoot, wait, assess, she if she falls and shoot again.
Oussie is completely blinded by previous injustice and now he is an expert on how the community feels or should feel. Also an expert on law enforcement and how they should respond specifically to each scenario.
No one is listening to or addressing the actual law enforcement officer in this thread who has, probably, the only similar experience of anyone here.

i don’t think anyone is saying the cop wasn’t justified, morally or legally, but that nearly everyone wishes different choices had been made, by numerous parties involved, that would have prevented the loss of life

Illy: castle doctrine.
And “big scary knee grow” is a historical term I referenced, cuz the system used to use it to justify brutality against blacks, and it seemed to be happening here too. But sorry if I offended your fragile cracker ass.
