Doesn't hurt to have Devin Booker and Ayton.
NBA 2020/2021
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Coby's boy Cam has to be thrilled he was traded from the Wolves to the Suns.
If he wants to win.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Are the dubs gonna make the playoffs?
Re: NBA 2020/2021
I think they will. Probably as top 8 team but if not, they should one of the top 10 teams in the West.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Top 6 don't go into the "play in" tournament. That'll be an interesting twist.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Suns had those guys last season and had a .466 winning %.
This year?
.705.
Thunder picked 13th in 19-20, ended up .611%, 5th in the West.
Year previous with Russ AND PG13, .598%.
Rockets had the best record in franchise history and went the furthest they had in last 20 years with CP3 - a game away from the NBA finals - and lost 2 in a row to the Warriors without Paul ( injured ).
There's a pattern.
You gotta actually watch the NBA to see it tho.

Re: NBA 2020/2021
CP3 absolutely has helped immensely. And I'd imagine there is also some positive impact off the court as well.pdub wrote: ↑Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:11 am Suns had those guys last season and had a .466 winning %.

Another year of growth for Booker and Ayton also undeniably helped as well.
The suns are a fun team to watch. I haven't ever been a big CP3 fan, but i like him with Phoenix.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
CP3 is currently 9th in odds for MVP of the league.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
What they need is an MVP award and a Fanboi award

Re: NBA 2020/2021
I happen to turn on dubs rockets and dubs promptly go on a 24-0 run. Mostly vintage Steph making it look like a video game, Wiggins had a good dunk too

Zion Williamson became the first player in NBA history to average 27 points per game while shooting over 60 percent from the field.
Yeesh.

Re: NBA 2020/2021
76ers NBA finals or bust.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
I don't foresee the 76ers not making the East Finals but my concern is by then you have to figure any or all of the following guys will be an injury question mark. Joel, KD, Kyrie, Harden.
If (that's a HUGE if) the Nets are at full strength, I don't see them losing to the 76ers.
Many people (including players, coaches, GMs, and owners) bitched about the "Play in Tournament".
I wonder how many of those people are upset the Lakers and Warriors are going to be playing against each other in a game that matters.
I figure there is a decent chance the Warriors/Lakers game will draw more viewers than any other game besides late in the Conference Finals and The Finals.
Shame we know one of those two teams isn't advancing and it will really suck if neither of those two teams advance out of the "Play in Tournament".

Re: NBA 2020/2021
I kind of like the play-in tournament, but we can do better. Needs to be some kind of regular season tourney but how it is set up for this season does not seem the most ideal.
I also have 0 sympathy for any team that finishes 7-10 and do not make the playoffs. They come off as very whiny.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Yes. I was 100% wrong with my last sentence. Had a brain fart in thinking that it was possible both teams might not advance. Not sure what I was thinking.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 1:46 pmAren't they the 7/8 game?MJ23 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 1:39 pm I figure there is a decent chance the Warriors/Lakers game will draw more viewers than any other game besides late in the Conference Finals and The Finals.

My hope is either the Lakers or the Warriors win the West.
