a third party vote in these last two elections was essentially a vote for trump

he was, is, and will forever be a stain on this country’s politics

jmo, but there is nothing wrong with voting for the lesser of two evils

hillary wasn’t my choice, but there was no way i was voting for trump...and i felt that a vote for hillary decreased the chance of trump getting elected

i agree with you in a sense about it not mattering in your state, much in the way it didn’t really matter in kansas

tbf, you could also say a third party vote was a vote for hillary or biden

i could be wrong, but i have a feeling most third party supporters lean more democrat than republican

A third part vote is literally a vote for the third party.
The definition of literal.
Representing the exact words of the original text.

"HEY! Did you buy that book from Amazon!? How dare you?!"
"No, I didn't buy it from Amazon."
"Oh, good, you bought it from the Raven, support local books! Good for you."
"No, I actually bought it on EBay."
"Essentially bought it from Amazon!!"

How’s political parties work in other developed democracy/republic countries?

Isn’t the US among the few that only has 2 major parties?

Like other countries have lots of parties with lots of platforms to choose from, so that voters can choose which platform they think is best, rather than choosing the lesser of two evils every cycle

The US also has the longest campaign seasons with the losest campaign finance regs.

(If money equals free speech then if you don’t have money does that mean you don’t have free speech? If corporations are really people, then should they get a vote too? I digress...)

listen, i’m all for more choices, but to pretend like a 3rd party or independent candidate has a chance in hell in this country when it comes to presidential elections is laughable

voting for one may make you feel good, but it really serves no practical purpose
