Yes, but that doesn't resolve the size of the voter pool in 2024. Trump just lost by 8 million votes. He/the Trumpists can't afford for even 10% of their base to peel off.
I think
the political issue of the next 50 years is the race between bad-faith disenfranchisement and voter suppression, on one hand, and the increasingly-progressive will-of-the-people, on the other hand.
