Unfortunately, is is very common for people to get covid after getting vaxxed. Just another reason why I don't see the point. Years ago I knew a few people who always got the flu shot. They always without fail ended up getting the flu worse than I did.

Gutter man, I'm sorry to read this. PhD telling you it was not the vaccine (despite not knowing the facts) is very likely not true. If someone drinks a whole bottle of wine and then they feel bad the following day, it was because of the wine and it wasn't from something they did 10 years ago. MJL, take 1000 mg of vitamin C, take some extra vitamin D and zinc. Good luck.

There have been numerous stories of people getting ill or dying, and some didn't believe me until the news finally was reluctant to admit that the J&J vaccine was causing blood clots. Yet we still have some on here who claim "the covid vaccines have killed no one". I wish what they were screaming was true, but it's obviously not. There was a story of a baby that died from nursing after his mother took one of the shots. These stories are just adding up all the time...

I was talking with someone this week and we both agreed that big pharma and big tech want this kind of segregation. Fortunately, only 40% of Americans have taken it, so the majority will prevail. We were also talking about how it's funny that we teach our children in schools to "question everything", but somehow when we become adults, it's "follow the media." Well, those who cannot think for themselves, they can follow.

Speaking of Covid on the ground... I think I might have it. Two or three days of a sore throat, then today felt sicker than I could remember ever feeling - headache, fever, nausea, fatigue, and not sure if I'm imagining it or not, but some tightness in the chest. Nothing upper-respiratory, so doesn't seem like flu or cold. And the sore-throat warning indicates not food poisoning.

I had my first Pfizer and am supposed to get second Tuesday. Would already be fully vaccinated if I didn't have my J&J cancelled the day before I was supposed to get it because of the insanity of the CDC.

Thankfully wife is fully vaccinated. Not sure if there's a point in getting tested at this point.

That was a pretty shitty couple days.

Binge-watched Scrubs when not sleeping. That's such a good show. Wrong thread I suppose.

that certainly wasn’t my experience

in fact, my schools made sure they were looking out for everyone’s health and well-being by ensuring myself and all my classmates were vaccinated

At some point, we are just going to have to deal with the fact that we have a section of our population that is not going to take part in this and we have to move forward. It is not ideal but it is the state of things. Wishing that it was different or attempting to exclude them from things via vaccine passports is a temporary way for vaccine recipients to feel a little more comfortable as they ease back into normal but at some point, we're just going to be back to where we were before which is "some people around us suck and don't care whether they negatively impact our health or not".

Jerks have always existed. They send their kids to school when they are sick because it is less hassle to them than the hassle of caring for their kids unexpectedly. They don't give a shit whether our kids get sick or not as a result. They go to events and gatherings when sick themselves because they want to. They don't give a shit whether we get sick or not as a result.

they’ll only be able to participate in a subset of society. they’ll likely have to home-school their kids, won’t be admitted to most colleges and universities, won’t be able to get on a cruise ship or most airlines, etc.
