Ok.

So short of boogeymanning everywhere else that’s been labeled as failed socialism, is it inaccurate of me to think that socialism at least in theory is empowering workers over hierarchies, all stakeholders vs. just the shareholders, the very stuff in my posts?

Cuz if you read my posts and your takeaway is about some other counties I wasn’t even posting about, isn’t that sort of moving the goalposts?
Socialism doesnt empower the workers. It empowers the government and its even more ripe for corruption than your hated capitalism

Could I suggest you go back and read my posts?

It has nothing to do with empowering workers or stakeholders

It is ridiculous to overlook that many people in this country are born ham strung, and have little to no chance of advancing regardless of effort.

The system is rigged, to an extent.

Well then, God and the universe is unfair. Life is unfair. But you've got to stop whining about what you can't do and focus on something that gives your life meaning and satisfaction. None of us are here to be miserable.

Let’s stick to actual definitions.

Cuz empowering workers is the very definition.

In practice, sure, it’s prone to corruption, just like anything. But I’m not advocating for socialism as a label in itself. I couldn’t care less about the word.

I’m advocating for empowering people over profits, and rebuilding economies to reflect that.

What people would that be? I'm not suggesting there aren't - but it leads to the next question: What could be done that isn't being done now to change that specifically for those people?

To not acknowledge that our social economic system is rigged to keep some of our citizens economically repressed is going out of our way by either being embarrassed by it or being part of the problem.

Are you specifically referring to poor minorities? What, beyond acknowledgement, should be done about that?

this is the greatest country on earth. by a wide margin. any person can accomplish anything they set their mind to. if they want it. and will work for it. they can have it. go AMERICA.
The notion that you can be "whatever you want" is silly. If I want to be the center for the Boston Celtics, it doesn't matter how hard my 6'2" body works. It isn't happening. Some people, no matter how hard they try, are not equipped to achieve certain things.
Again. Opportunity vs outcome.

You can try to be whatever you want.
That's great. Now read the post I responded to. It wasn't about "having an opportunity to try." It was "any person can accomplish anything they set their mind to" which is categorically false. "Accomplish" isn't the same as "attempt".

This is a joke because there's nothing they will do to stop inflation. It's already happened due to all the QE. They could raise interest rates, but that would collapse everything, so it won't happen. CPI reports indicate that import prices have risen over 10% from April 2020 to April 2021. That's just getting started. By April 2022, everything will cost at least 20% more than it did in 2020. Maybe even 30-40% more.
