Yeah, at least if we're not going to win any games until 2023, can we have a moratorium on all the "we're trending in the right way", "This program has a better feel", and "We're getting good recruits" posts. A d1 school has gone from 0 wins to 8 the next season. We should be able to expect four wins by the third.

In the last 10 years since the Weis era began, Kansas has had 8 coordinators and will be on their 9th.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have left Lance the keys to the football program for as long as he wants them. He is the first hire we have had since Mason that didn’t give me the creeps. Mangino was a mountain of anger. Gill was weirdly off on zealot territory. Weiss was a used toothbrush salesman. Beaty seemed to be a fugitive. Miles seemed like a dementia-addled gambler. Leipold seems like he remembers when he told you to run steps.

It's still a minor miracle Leipold is here. He was literally 1 more 8-4 season away from being at a better P5 school.

But here's the thing that Leipold mentioned to a small group of media after his presser. He's from Wisconsin and is a Packers and Brewers fan, they don't have the resources that the Cowboys or Yankees do, but they work hard, they grind and they get some serious work done.

He was probably looking for a job that "fit" his preference to grind and make places better, not just continue on with something. And this seems to fit that bill.
