Maybe after playing 4 years there and getting the accolades, it still just wasn't getting him the platform to improve his market value. Kansas has the platform and the need for someone that can play on the ball.

Do we land Wheeler today?

I'm betting it's Kentucky again.

Kentucky it is for Wheeler. Cal loves his dudes that can’t shoot for shit.
It’s either going to be Remy or Self is rolling with Harris, Yesufu and Pettiford.

The trend would suggest a 2022 postseason ban.

In what regard? Self pushing hard for all of them but just coming up short?
They just miss out to a program that will feed into their bullshit more than Self and Kansas will.

Re: 21-22 lineup
I think it is a little odd, but perhaps just disheartening, that we are losing out on so many recruits and transfers, some not being that high of quality, at a position where we can offer immediate playing time on a top 10-15 team on paper.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 4:26 pmIn what regard? I intended to stop short on saying that this is a sign that a 2022 ban is coming, but if it does, I think we will look back at this time period and see that missing out on so many one year players at a position of need could have been the indication that Self and staff couldn't guarantee a 2022 NCAA tourney.
Re: 21-22 lineup
don’t you think if someone actually knew, or had heard rumors, that it woulda been leaked?
i’m more inclined to think this is the result of other coaches using the unknown aspect to throw shade

Re: 21-22 lineup
Ok now this part I understand. Maybe saying, "Hey come here, we could or could not be playing in the NCAAs in 2022, but we will be good after that." while other programs won't have to say that.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 4:33 pmI think it is a little odd, but perhaps just disheartening, that we are losing out on so many recruits and transfers, some not being that high of quality, at a position where we can offer immediate playing time on a top 10-15 team on paper.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 4:26 pmIn what regard? I definitely don't think the staff is going around saying we won't play in 2022, but I'd be absolutely shocked if most recruits' camps aren't asking the question. No clue what the staff is saying today, and no clue how each camp will react to whatever their answer is.

Right, and hell maybe Trad is right about us being negatively recruited on the issue--that wouldn't be shocking.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 4:40 pmOk now this part I understand. I look at the incoming guys we have landed and they are all guys we can, at this time, expect to be around 2, 3, 4 more seasons except Cam Martin who basically won the D2 basketball player lottery.
Re: 21-22 lineup
LOL. Don't we have just about as many transfers and force outs at Kentucky?NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Mon May 17, 2021 4:26 pmIn what regard? Self pushing hard for all of them but just coming up short?

Think our staff feeds into and allows plenty of bullshit. Our track records seems to support that theory.
