21-22 lineup
Re: 21-22 lineup
Nevermind.
I completely misread the stats.
OK - he's closer to Ochai .650.

And other transfers that have come here have been from Loyola Maramount, Iowa, Cal and others. He's averaged double figures in 3 of his 4 full seasons. He's not bad.
He's probably not great. But he's probably about what Ochai has been.

Re: 21-22 lineup
ochai has been a good player for us. nothing more. nothing less.
if he comes back, eh. if he don't come back, eh.

so much for mich loving 4 year players
Re: 21-22 lineup
To me, OA's draft announcement read like a goodbye, at a minimum someone strongly leaning towards staying in the draft. I'd be stunned if he's back next season.

CBS's Parrish is just randomly guessing Ochai is back.
He thinks we're top 3.
"The Jayhawks are expected to return four of the top five scorers from a team that beat Baylor in February and finished second in the Big 12. The addition of high-level transfers Remy Martin (Arizona State) and Joseph Yesefu (Drake) should make Kansas the favorite to win what would be the 20th conference championship of Bill Self's career."

Re: 21-22 lineup
thats accurate. I like och. he was solid for us. not exceptional. I assumed he was gone since he declared. the next level he will be a 3 and D athletic role player. another year in college wont change that in any way
Re: 21-22 lineup
I haven't read closely today, but I don't think I've seen Isaiah Moss' name come up. Setting aside the vagaries of hiring agents, etc. - if, after Moss signed, Newman wanted to come back...would we have said no?CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:18 amExactly. I think this whole offseason is goddamned musical chairs, and Bill is just stockpiling assets. There's no way there's not a spot for Och if he doesn't stay in the draft.CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 11:11 am
I don't know, but I'd think it's pretty unlikely we get both Remy and Och here, so I get it. Plus, why is Cam guaranteed a scholly? That's a frickin' lotto ticket.
Re: 21-22 lineup
To Newman? I wouldnt. Moss was fine. Newman, was on the verge of putting it all together and being a game changer

Newman would have been really nice and solved our woes having to play Grimes so much.jfish26 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 3:40 pmI haven't read closely today, but I don't think I've seen Isaiah Moss' name come up. Moss would have been a year later, but I’d absolutely take a senior Newman over Moss, too.
Re: 21-22 lineup
Man, glad we got that corrected in my memory. I was fully prepared to hate his fucking guts for the rest of time (as opposed to considering him among the lost team).CrimsonNBlue wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 5:08 pmNewman would have been really nice and solved our woes having to play Grimes so much.jfish26 wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 3:40 pmI haven't read closely today, but I don't think I've seen Isaiah Moss' name come up. Re: 21-22 lineup
Workout videos are always skewed but Cam Martin is going to play. Dude is a bucket and can score from multiple spots. Really good from deep.

Re: 21-22 lineup
Painfully slow, but the shot and size is good enough for the backup 5.
Re: 21-22 lineup
Of note you can get KU at 18/1 future right now which may be lowered from a looming ban...but for a possible top 3 team, 18/1 is solid value.

Re: 21-22 lineup
Sydney Curry no longer coming.
Have to wonder if he was told he wasn't going to play. Or that his scholly was no longer available (Remy).

Re: 21-22 lineup
He didn't have any room. Cam Martin, Clemence and Adams were all going to see the floor over him.
That and scholarship space just wasn't there.

Re: 21-22 lineup
I don't know if I agree with exactly all of that, but it is crowded when you throw Mitch in and Curry is strictly a backup 5 making him less versatile than Clemence and Adams.
