Good stats in a COVID year for Powell. I expect good thongs from his power.

But had 7 good games and couldn't get playing time for 3 years so I don't think you can expect much.
Sammy Watkins doubled Powell's yardage in his last year at Clemson.
He was 2nd on their team in receptions and yards last year behind a guy who got drafted in the 3rd round.

Tom Brady struggled to get consistent playing time in college and was drafted in the 6th round.

Vikings trade Mike Hughes to the Chiefs for a Gates Mixed Plate.

Vikings win trade.

I think the low return probably means the Vikes are finally completely convinced he is broken for good. But, it is possible he can return close to form in a less crowded secondary being that young. And, he returns punts.

I was more than ready to move on--frustrating stint for him and everyone else. Up there with the worst Vikes first round picks in the last 2 decades+.

Typical KC though. Steal a first rounder who disappointed due to injuries. Exactly the right place to put up or shut up on a try-out year.

It's a great low-risk/reward for the Chiefs. And the Vikes swapped back end picks and cleared 1.8 in cap for a guy that was going to get released.

Totally get the move on both sides, and it hardly got any attention in the first place, but would have received even less if he wasn't a former 1st rounder.

Of course, with the 2 franchises fortunes the way they are right now, I expect Hughes will be a pro-bowl nickel in 2021 and beyond.

I expect the Chiefs 6th rounder to be 31st or 32nd.
The Vikes around 15.
So a difference of 15ish spots in the very end of the draft.

That's nothing.
Salary dump.
And not that much salary.

If you're the Chiefs would you trade your 2022 2nd, 3rd and 5th for Julio Jones and a 6th?
On a not crazy contract per year for next 2 years ( 11ish mill ).

Hill, Kelce, Julio.
Woof.

Completely randomly, was watching (hah) a watch video that had Mitchell Schwartz as a guest, it was filmed in Cleveland--don't see him signing back with the Chiefs, sadly. Football aside, he seems like a good dude.

Breeland signed with CnB. I take it as a good sign that the roster is healthy enough to compete and some of the UDFAs are making some positive noise. Because Breeland still signed a one-year deal at $4M. May grab someone like Sherman or a roster cut if I am wrong. . . .

I'm surprised the Chiefs wouldn't pay him that.

Pretty good deal for the Titans getting Julio.

Play action with Derrick Henry and Julio streaking will be a threat.

Julio staying healthy is a big question. Titans needed to look hard at their defense, but W/R was a big need. Big salary and draft picks was not worth the squeeze IMO.
