Man, I wonder how dogged the NCAA’s investigations into KU would be with Cal at the helm.

Couldn't be much worse.

This will be a satisfying win as nothing will be said about our team/program by ESPN.

Might just have to go to the game to escape the broadcast.

I don't know if Scheyer will work out, but i do like that they have been grooming him and had a succession plan in place for when this day came.

I am not a Coack K fan anymore. I used to be. After a while (specifically the last 5 years or so) he started to rub me the wrong way.

I may have been a Coach K fan, for about two weeks, in 1985....

I've never really been a fan of Coach K but, damn, it'll be so different without him in the game.

But speaking of family, and Manning, maybe Self will pull Evan back from Gonzaga and groom him.
Self's previous time at Kansas played a decent sized role in him being the obvious #1 candidate for this job.

IIRC, Cal had too much NCAA muck on him at the time to be considered.
Not going to lie, completely forgot he had stint on Brown's staff.

One of my many great moments in Allen Field House was watching a JV game being played before the "varsity" game.
White kid from the other school basically had an Afro. KU fans ate it up. Would chant "hair" when he had the ball in his hands. While there weren't 16,000 in the stands yet and maybe only 3,000 or 4,000, it was probably the biggest crowd this kid played in front of. The kid hit a shot and the fans went NUTS. The kid had the biggest smile on his face.

Dukies were fired up on twitter yesterday when anyone talked bad about the rat.

It was fun for a bit to have those interactions.

I think I have been around every CBB fan base on multiple occasions for in-season and postseason tournaments. The dukies suck, the absolute worst.

I wonder if there's any worry at all that more will come out about Zion and he just is too tired to deal.

Oh, and I meant to ask:

With K on the way out, who wants to bet Dickie V retires soon as well?

Plenty but I often get ridiculed if/when I share personal stories so I am going to pass for now.

The sooner the better. Dude went from a hype guy to constantly blowing K guy.

Feel free. Especially if you have blurry camera phone pics to go with it!

But I was asking about the Twitter interactions in particular

Honestly, I think he became aware he gained a rep as a constantly blowing K guy, and seemed to dial back the dook love ever so slightly, in favor of some more generic CBB rah rah.

But dude has been mailing it in for years now. He brings no real insight to the game from a former coach’s perspective or anything. He just regurgitates a bunch of catchphrases that were already old a decade ago.

Bar in Atlanta, which is definitely UK's preferred spot for Champions Classic, but a good amount of duke fans, too.

Anyway, I got wings and the duke fans were all eating chicken fingers.
