Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
the notion that all republicans are white supremists, is catchy and edgey and a real attention grabber. but means nothing in the real world. just because you keep blubbering it does not make it true.
we all know that all republicans are not white supremists.

Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
welp, that settles it.
Since mich has no anecdotes, racism must be over.

Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
So why do they support white supremist (sic) policies? Actually I do know some Republicans, and I’m not so confident if I can make that assertion.
At this point there are three guiding principles for the Republicans in office, Federal and State level.
1. OMG, non-white people are going to take over
2. OMG, if people vote we’re f-ed, so let’s stop as many as possible from voting (See 1)
3. OMG, I’m afraid of the Trump MAGA mob
Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
Last time I hung out with my friend who is a proud Republican, he went on a rant about how he needs his guns cuz there’s too many black criminals in his area. Well, he walks it back, “all sorts of criminals, but you know what I mean.”
He then suggested the Chauvin trial was a sham and that George Floyd deserved to die. He offers clarification that he doesn’t say that cuz he’s racist tho, just cuz that the way things is.
But other than that, he’s a good fishing buddy.

I have republican friends until they go off on the inevitable white supremacist screed and Bitcoin.

Sure. But the GOP is presently made up of two types of people:MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 12:02 pm the notion that all republicans are white supremists, is catchy and edgey and a real attention grabber. but means nothing in the real world. just because you keep blubbering it does not make it true.

1 - white supremacists; and
2 - people who tolerate white supremacists in order to advance their other agendas.

"As we say in Germany, if there’s a Nazi at the table and 10 other people sitting there talking to him, you got a table with 11 Nazis."

“You’re either racist, or you’re okay with racism”
but yeah that’s just another way of saying what you guys already said

The Nazi party’s policies were deliberately vague so they might appeal to as many people as possible. People of both right and moderate-left wing politics joined because they agreed with at least one of their policies:
- an aim to abolish the "unfair punishment" of the Treaty of Versailles was popular with many Germans
(sounds like Trump's abolishment of US participation in NAFTA, the Paris Climate agreement etc...)
- promises of better pensions and increased employment appealed to the common man and many traditional socialists
(sounds like Trump's claims of being the greatest leader for common working people...)
- opposition to communism led many landowners and businessmen to support the Nazis – they were seen as the only credible right-wing alternative to the left-wing parties.
(sounds like Trump's complaints about socialism etc...)
- belief in the supremacy of the German race appealed to nationalists.
(nationalism? Where have I heard that before...)
- paramilitary groups reminded people of the comradeship they shared as soldiers during World War One
(sounds like Trump's pandering to US paramilitary militia groups...)
- the promise to re-militarise Germany would bring in huge industrial contracts – bringing support from many industrialists
(sounds like Trump's drive to spend a bajillion buying a bunch of military equipment...)
- Hitler's hatred of Jews struck a chord with many people - they were a convenient scapegoat for all Germany's problems
(sounds like Trump's portrayal of immigrants as criminals...)
Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
in a similar vein to what others have posted, there is a difference between not being racist yourself and being anti-racism
i’m sure a lot of everyday pubs are the former, but far too many are NOT the latter in any appreciable way

Yeah, but there's a half dozen of them somewhere in rooral West Virginia. According to Biden, those 6 bigoted people are a much larger threat to the nation than the 1,000+ riots that took place last year.MICHHAWK wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 12:02 pm the notion that all republicans are white supremists, is catchy and edgey and a real attention grabber. but means nothing in the real world. just because you keep blubbering it does not make it true.

Can't post links anymore. I don't want to be put in the hole for 2 more weeks.

Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
A group of 4 or more people who express opinions = riot.
Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
So post what I should look up in google and I will review your source to where Biden stated that 6 rubes in West Virginia were more dangerous than the riots that coincided with some BLM protests last year.
Re: Lord of the Rubes - The Voter Fraud Chapter
Here is an absolutely unimpeachable source for how Biden is making race relations worser while ignoring the real problem.

It took a real socialist to call the Black Wall Street massacre a massacre. And to visit Tulsa on the anniversary. And to vow to protect voting rights. And rebound the economy. And fight to get America vaccinated and over the pandemic. Scary.
It takes a village of lobsters to spot that kind of dangerous leader.
