Lefty is great, hes been covered a lot by Hank Jr and Willie Nelson. He doesnt get enough credit.

Pretty sure he wrote "I never go around mirrors"....which, if you dont like, then you just dont like country.

Think he might have also wrote "Sad songs and waltzes" another gem

Humanz is a great album. Took me about 5 runs through it to realize how good it actually is.
I tried hard to get into Humanz, but never could. The follow up was better in my opinion.

My favorite song he's ever written is this one, although I was surprised and saddened to find out it was written about him overcoming heroin addiction in his earlier years.

I enjoy Aubrey Logan. She is here in Austin a lot; a great jazz trombonist, vocalist, rapper etc. conquers multiple genres.

He was quite a talent in his heyday. Here he's joined by one of the greatest bass players and (I think) the greatest modern drummer.

I don’t know if it’s better here or the Covid thread……

Eric Clapton just announced the cities and dates for his “North American tour”. Is it just coincidence that all the locations are in anti-mask anti-vax States?

What happened to him????

It's probably just too dangerous for him to play in cities with a high vaccination rate.

I'm trying to think of the last concert I went to.
Probably Grateful Dead in 93 or so. Wait, I took my kid to see that girl who sings "Skater Boy" at Starlight for her birthday. Probably circa 2005.
The older I get the less I like dealing with crowds.

Yeah crowds suck.

And red rocks is a badass venue and all, but I also don’t particularly miss having to crawl over everybody and dodge through the wooks dancing on the stairs just to try and find a $9 bottled water they won’t let you keep the lid to.
