I feel bad for him. He's a stud.

He needs to force the front office to move CJ.
CJ's a very good player, but he plays the exact same position at Lillard. Portland perpetually stuck in the 3-7 seed range with no real chance of making the NBA Finals with this makeup.

Ainge stepping down. Brad Stevens moving to General Manager. Celtics looking for a new coach.

A little surprising they're keeping Stevens. Clean split doesn't seem so kick-the-can-down-the-road.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 9:32 am Ainge stepping down. Brad Stevens moving to General Manager. Celtics looking for a new coach.

I think it's more surprising he's moving from the bench to the front office.

He didn't do a great job there and the fans and media have been roasting him. Probably needs a break from it all, but it's hard seeing what staying in Boston does for either side.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Ainge did all the right things with collecting picks.
Just didn't land the guys to put them over the top.
The Kyrie situation blew up - and Hayward got injured at the wrong time.
I'm not all that surprised to hear that Brad Stevens is burnt out from coaching.
Boston crowd/media is pretty relentless.

I would give Brad Stevens a B.
I don't think he did a bad job with the Celts.
Made it to the conference finals 3 of his last 5 years - was in the playoffs every season except his first - and their best team was thwarted by LeBron and the Cavs.

Re: NBA 2020/2021
I think it's a toss up there. It could help, but also has potential to backfire. They definitely need more pieces or Dame has to do what all the other stars do and force his way to a better team. I sort of hope he doesn't do that though. They're close to being good. Nurkic is really solid. CJ is good (not great). They need some defense or something. Whatever they're doing isn't working if championships are the goal.Cascadia wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 9:25 amHe needs to force the front office to move CJ.

Especially with the addition of Norman Powell. Pretty much the same player for a third of the price. The only difference between the two seems to be that CJ plays on the ball when Dame subs out. Use the money they are paying CJ to get a legit wing with length and athleticism.Cascadia wrote: ↑Wed Jun 02, 2021 9:25 amHe needs to force the front office to move CJ.

Received this email this morning. I'm not sure why.
Only thing I can think of is that about a year ago I tried to find an authentic Education Reform 88 Lakers jersey for Ousdahl. Couldn't find one anywhere. FYI, the link is NOT to the official NBA Store. They are "knock off" jerseys.

Search of the WHOIS database gives me this. I edited to break all the links that were in the info so no one would accidentally launch one of them.MJ23 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:08 am Received this email this morning. I'm not sure why.

The Dallas Mavs have lost their GM and now their head coach in the last 2 days. Curious to see if the upheaval affects their ability to resign Luca Doncic after his contracts ends after next season.

Wasn't there a bit of heat between Luka and the front office? Maybe this is the organization backing the star player.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
Seems like Luka has always kept it professional, but there were rumors Kristaps was an issue with both front office, coaches, and locker room...and that maybe Luka and Kristaps weren't all that close.
Re: NBA 2020/2021
The rumors were that there was tension between Doncic and HC Rick Carlisle.NDballer13 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 4:31 pm Wasn't there a bit of heat between Luka and the front office? Maybe this is the organization backing the star player.
GM Nelson was instrumental in bringing Doncic to Dallas and Doncic was reported bummed when Nelson was forced out.
