Dumbfuck in charge
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
He had balls to stop the dangerous attempt of the cruise ships of forcing vaccinations on everyone. That's more than Trump or Biden accomplished.

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
why is that dangerous?
why do you care what cruise ships, private businesses, choose to do?
and is that seriously your only (or most important) metric?

Cruise lines have asked for medical information that could result in you being ineligible to boarding a cruise for years. If you have had a fever or been nauseous in the week prior to boarding, they have the right to evaluate you and prevent you from getting on the boat. You can't go on a cruise if you are a certain number of weeks pregnant (Disney bans you if you have entered your 24th week of your pregnancy).
Did you rail on about these dangerous policies prior to COVID? Probably not. They obviously didn't bother Desantis, who has been Governor of Florida since 2013 yet magically only found these policies dangerous now that opposing them benefits him politically.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
You're comparing apples to oranges. Those are common sense measures. The vaccine is experimental and should not mandated on anyone. Even you yourself admitted many posts back that you are not a fan of big pharma and normally would not take flu shots. It's all about not appearing on "team lobster", right?

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
The cruise ships (cruise ship owners/companies) weren't attempting to force ANYONE to get a vaccination - unless they wanted to go on the cruise ship.
Seems you are telling us (or at least implying) what happened on the Diamond Princess was no big deal and cruise ships shouldn't give a fuck if their passengers contract a deadly virus (while possibly putting their own employees at risk too) and die on their boats.

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Cruise ships were petri dishes before....i cant imagine anyone wanting to get on one of those things when we're rounding the corner out of s pandemic.
Was kind of hoping its be the death blow to those things. Oh well.

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Have you ever been on a cruise ship? I have zero problem with them requiring vaccinations to go on one. We are going on a Disney cruise over Christmas and all of the 8 people in our party feel more comfortable going with a vaccination requirement than without.Walrus wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 4:25 pm You're comparing apples to oranges. There are people from all over the world and they are packed into space together, even on a nice cruise. Thousands of people sharing spaces. Covid would race through there like a wildfire.
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
They can require them if they want, but then they can choose to go cruise from Delaware if they don't like Florida's laws.

Re: Dumbfuck in charge
Did you take this in to consideration?
Where are all these cruise ships from Florida sailing to (and docking at) and what are their vaccination/quarantine requirements?
Re: Dumbfuck in charge
I don't know, Gutter. I like you, and don't wish to argue with you.

I know that have most likely only seen the one, but women, not unlike men, can shower and clean themselves.

Yes, I agree that they are common sense measures. So is requiring vaccinations to do a cruise while a pandemic is still going on. Cruise ships are tight and everyone shares space and breathes all over each other. There are hundreds of people in very tight dining rooms and other shared spaces.
Yes, I am leery of Big Pharma. Yes, I normally do not get flu vaccines as I have only had the flu a small amount of times in my life.
My getting vaccinated has nothing to do with not wanting to appear to be on Team Walrus and everything to do with me reviewing the available information and choosing to get the vaccine because I believe it is the best path forward for our society and for the more vulnerable members of it as well as for our economy. I would never have considered spending money on a cruise if I wasn't vaccinated and I wouldn't have booked it if the policy at the time wasn't that they require vaccinations.
