Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
They're pretty spoiled and delusional. So no surprise there.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Thank gaia you're back. Otherwise, I might not have been set straight on this.Gutter wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 9:01 amIt's in no way an "overstated stat" and it is important.Lonestarjayhawk wrote: ↑Tue Dec 11, 2018 7:03 am A few Rupp posters are starting to say that All-Time Wins is an overstated stat. It's not that important. Bullshit!
Meanwhile, most all time wins or not, many if not most impartial people will tell you Kentucky Basketball history > Kansas Basketball history.
Win % and National Championships being major factors.
Big fucking deal.
I am still happy and proud to be a KU fan.
Have a nice day.
Thanks, pal!

Perhaps.
Or maybe they need a DC who seems to have a need to keep those who keep others in line - in line.
I'm going to keep being me. You and others can go ahead and keep being like Kentucky fans.
Whatever works.
Cool?

In other UK news.....
I'm completely torn on this.
Unhappy, lack of playing time, whatever, should a kid should have to stay if he makes a commitment to a school? My guess is Cal doesn't give a flying fudge that he's leaving. It's a part of the business that he ultimately ends up benefitting from more than it hurts him.

Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Players should be able to move freely from school to school just like normal students... because, hey, these are students, not semi-pro athletes.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Cal recruited 2 point guards over the top of him in Quickley and Hagans so I can understand his frustration. I have no problem with a kid transferring. Every other student can pick up and move if their school situation isn't what they expected.Gutter wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:01 am In other UK news.....

Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Plus Hagans and Quickley haven't looked very good and may end up being multi year players instead of 1 and dones.
Re: Rupp Rafters Meltdown
Free agent movement would be terrible and create chaos. I think the rules should be tweaked to ne more lenient and accomodate more situations but complete freedom of movement isnt the answerIllinoisJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:43 am Players should be able to move freely from school to school just like normal students... because, hey, these are students, not semi-pro athletes.

Gotta go!
The faculty of the University of Kentucky's African American and Africana Studies program has asked UK president Eli Capilouto to change the name of Rupp Arena because the legendary basketball coach's name "has come to stand for racism and exclusion" and "alienates Black students, fans, and attendees."

2020 became the year where everything was racist.

Adolf Rupp died a racist long before 2020.
