99 degrees here, not including the heat index, so it probably feels like it's 108 or something.

On a hot day, sometimes the best thing you can do is eat a big slice of blind melon.

Had our heat wave last week, upper 90s, some 100. This week is very nice, upper 70s-mid 80s for the highs. Still haven’t broken down and installed the air conditioner. Have a room a/c that we use maybe a few times a year. Hooked that up last week

Sunny, 71 for a high today with low humidity. Not sure how we pulled that off.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain,
You don't like my point of view and I'm insane
It's not sane
It's not sane
I just want someone to say to me
Oh, oh, oh, oh

A first for me on Saturday. Walking down Michigan Avenue north of the Loop and suddenly torrential rain and then the tornado sirens go off. I didn't even know they had tornado sirens downtown Chicago. My daughter said she heard them last week at her office as well. It didn't last long but there were 50 mph winds blowing and shit flying around. Hearing the sirens echoing through all of those tall buildings was kind of eery.

Inside your house is 94? No A/C? I could never sleep if my house was that warm inside.
