Mike Pence is a horrific homophobe who seems to approach life in a totally unreasonable, church guided manner. Quaker like beliefs.
My greatest hope is that I am never defined by my worst decisions and most ignorant statements in life. Seems like we all deserve to be afforded a measure of grace sufficient to allow for growth and change.
Except Cankles...right?

Wokeness also means automatically believing and acting on the worst possible view of everyone who does not act the way I want them to in any given moment.

If you are a silly, impulsive, misguided (read: typical) high school boy who goes along with his friends and wears a T-shirt in a photo that offends the wrong people, you are the lowest form of life on Earth and deserve to pay for it for the rest of your miserable existence.

Is that the world we really want to live in?
Mike Pence says hi.
Mike Pence is a good man who seems to approach life in a reasonably measured manner.
someone who espouses conversion therapy is not a good man

Is that why his party calls him a traitor and wants to hang him?
I'm not a Republican and can't speak for that party or its membership.

I don't know whether he espouses it or not. The last reference to it in his public statements was 2000, and even then, it seems to be an inference made from other statements.

"Seeking to change their sexual behavior" in context, seems to refer to promiscuous and risky practices in general, not homosexuality in particular.

Regardless, 21 years later, I don't know anyone who thinks that conversion therapy in any of its iterations is a good thing, much less acceptable best medical practice.

Not my favorite person, but I'm open to her last chapter being better than the first ones.

A Timeline of Mike Pence’s Discrimination Against the LGBT Community

that only goes up to 2015, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much change in the 15 years covered

and, if he truly is against the practice and supports LGBTQ+ rights, why has he not just come out and flat said so?

instead, we’ve gotten vague comments by his associates

Dunno. I'm not trying to be a Pence apologist. I would contend that there is/should be room for people to have differing opinions on matters so long as they don't infringe on anyone's civil rights.

and how is that ironic?

i’ve never said everyone should, nor do i ascribe to an ideology that holds that idea up as one of its tenets
