Kinda funny story...

Post by shindig »

So my buddy and I went out boozing last night. We were both striking out, so I went home around midnight. My buddy, Lee, decides to message an online "escort" for a $250 fee. She gets to his house about 3am, they do their thing I guess, then she asks him if it is okay to spend the night? He's like heck ya..lol. So they go to sleep...well 8 this morning he calls me freaked out because his Apple laptop, phone and iPad are all gone, plus the girl...lol. Also gone is his new LG 60" TV. I told him to call the cops...lol.

TIME OUT!
I've never used an escort but if I did - I would think the first thing I would do is get one from a "reputable" service.
It was an "on-line" service? Well, then they sure as heck should have a record of a "transaction" and they sure as heck should have some form of identification from the "escort".
Hard for Lee to prove he had any of the missing items and that the escort took them. He willingly let her in his home so that's one strike against him but I find it hard to believe she was able to snag a 60" tv on her own so that means either Lee let someone else ("body guard"/"driver"?) in his home or someone came in uninvited.
If an on-line service sent a woman and she (and someone else) boldly stole valuables, then I would think the service would have some liability as well.
All that being said, my worthless opinion is it would probably be best not to fuck with those who own/run and work for escort services - especially when they know where you live.
I say Lee should realize the errors of his ways and that he has learned a tough valuable lesson.
Sucks to be him but at least he got laid last night / this morning. That's one bonus.

Yeah, I'm thinking she called or texted some dude to get the TV. He said he was passed out. I know he has called her number a few times, but I think she might have blocked him. He's basically just decided it was a good lay, but not going to pursue anything legally. Probably not best to get cops or insurance involved...lol Again, like you said, no way to prove she stole his shit or somebody else walked in while he was passed out.

Why not insurance? People have been known to lie on insurance claims.
