11 own goals in the Euros. Insane.

Gotta love ESPN using London Calling as they go to commercial for any English sporting event. As if it's some pro-England anthem, lol.

Six is too many subs for this level of soccer.
I like four in regulation with one additional in extra.

Well, that was a really good game. Too bad it had to be decided on such a soft penalty call.

Schmeichel a good save but unfortunate bounce.

Somewhat weak penalty call to begin with.

Denmark after the first half subs just turtled in. England deserved to go through.

We're just very disappointed that we were so close to the final," Hjulmand said. "We're disappointed it was decided that way. ... It was a penalty that shouldn't have been a penalty, and that annoys me right now. We're disappointed, we're very disappointed.

"It's one thing to lose a game, that happens, but losing this way is just a disappointment, because these guys have fought a lot. It's bitter; I think we have to digest this before we can describe these feelings, but it's a bitter way to leave a tournament."

I think at least half of all penalties given are soft. It's the one thing I really wish soccer would fix.

I’d scale back VAR substantially.
Ruining the game.

Disagree, positives outweigh the negatives.

Like all replays, the speed could be improved for sure

Don’t see how you could watch these Euros and disagree but whatever floats your boat.

More stoppages the better I guess.

When the stakes are this high, you have to get the call right.

Can't be letting hand of god shit happen anymore.

But not for an offsides that is a knee over the line 20 seconds before on an assist of an assist that led to a goal.

Not on missed fouls or non obvious handballs in the box.

IMO in order to keep game flow of what soccer should be, VAR should only occur after goals or clear as day to the entire crowd handballs in the box that were missed. And offsides calls not called should go to the offense—I.e. being barely offsides should not be enough to overturn a goal.

Soccer is unique where there should be as minimal of stoppages as possible ( i would advocate more yellows for faking injury ) and was largely fine without replays.

100% yes to what I put in bold. I hate when all replays go down to the millimeter. If it's obvious, overturn it, if it's by a kneecap or whatever, let it stand.

Copa America. Enjoyable game despite neither team playing great. Happy for Argentina and their fans.

No doubt KC is a great soccer town. So...... After looking at and seeing the ticket availability, why does it seem there are so few people interested in attending the USA/Haiti game?

When there is a game that means nothing, your absolute top guys won’t play and you’ll still win by a couple goals, there’s a better way to spend a Sunday evening.

There’s maybe 2-3 guys that will be dubs on the WC roster. Just taking it easy in these games. Let’s the top guys have a well deserved break.
