I'm extremely proud of America's involvement in vaccine development, vaccine roll-out, the way it's been administered. In that regard, go USA!

Just curious because we can vilify rural americans not getting vaccinated all we want, but this virus didn't originate here. It traveled here. So if the rest of the world isn't getting vaccinated then that risk of mutations will remain regardless of how much we beat our heads on the table about rural Republicans not getting vaccinated.

zsn’s point, i think, is that the right largely resisted the severity of the pandemic from the jump, prior to vaccines even being a thing

had they taken it serious, and followed the science and what our healthcare professionals were saying, we’d be in a much better spot now

Among the anti-vax demographic, how many are folks who legit think they’re being true patriots, just like the founding fathers envisioned, by defying the gummint’s health precautions.

And among that demographic, the sentiment seems to extend to far more than health precautions.

Those extremes are such a small portion of the people on the right imo.

I know almost nobody who thinks it was a total hoax.

I know lots of people who don't think it was deadly enough to the vast majority of the population for year long shutdowns. I don't necessarily agree, but it's an opinion that i can respectfully disagree with.

Both sides politicized it. Albeit in different ways and to different degrees. But politicized nonetheless. And it continues to be politicized to this very day. By both sides.
