The AEC industry is seeing lots of people jumping ship and changing companies right now. The industry and the economy are getting hotter. We are in the process of salary reviews and indexing against our competitors. Looks like a lot of engineers are going to get a 10-15% raise this year. And this is before the infrastructure money hits the streets. If you have kids in high school, talk to them about what a cool profession engineering is. They will thank you in a decade.

Thank You Uncle Joe! God BLESS America!

So glad we got rid of that crazy fuck who played with the economy like it was his god damn yo-yo!

I suppose for everyone in this country the ultimate indicator of the economy should be a white guy in Michigan's 401K.

"The average rate of return on 401(k)s from 2015 to 2020 was 9.5%, according to data from retirement and financial service provider, Mid Atlantic Capital Group".

My guess is Donnie would prefer you (and everyone else) look at the DJIA than 401K earnings/returns during his tenure.

i know i’m supposed to “hate” everything republican and that i think that Biden is the second coming of Christ and is beyond reproach, but...

i think it’s absurd that we’re now paying people that have kids, and that Biden wants to extend this payment beyond this year

a tax credit is one thing, sending them checks just cuz they’ve got kids (even if they don’t need the money...where have we heard this before) is ridiculous

if you can’t afford to have kids, don’t have em

I see plenty of progressives and “radical leftists” criticize Biden all the time.

It seems a contrast with the right’s overwhelming support for Trump, even if he displays the antithesis of their purported values.

Not really all that confusing. Trump was the radical right. Biden isnt the radical left.

Ok, perhaps.

Then why didn’t more moderate rights speak up against him?

They also have elections to win. Our system is broken. People care more about staying in office than they do about the policies and how they effect the constituents. The republicans needed the votes of the trumpists to retain their positions. Speaking out would alienate the voters....but not win enough democrat voters to make it worth it. Politicians suck...almost all of them. They dont give a shit about you...they only want to stay in power.

Yea.

I come back to DC, who gave lip service to condemning Trump while simultaneously toeing some fine line of giddiness that that Trumpublican power grab was working.

And when push came to shove, rather than speak up as the reasonable righty adult in the room, he just ran and hid.

But to be fair, I really am curious what his book is about, and whether anyone besides Japhy will read it.

DC was pretty harsh on Trump. He was also better at articulating his point than most here. It'd be interesting to watch him counter your fantastical hypotheticals and socialism spiels.
