For sure. They’re all in same boat though.

Phil Harrison of Buckeyes Wire says it is.
Please, I implore you to be reasonable...

Man, Baylor wins the men's basketball championship a few months ago, has won 10 games or more 5 out of the last 10 seasons in football, had a Heisman winner not all that long ago, woman's basketball program is elite, the track & field program is elite...yet, they could be left out in the cold...crazy.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 4:44 pm Seems like a Baylor thing. I don't think KU has to do much except say, "We're here, we're available and we'll do it whenever" Baylor is going to be on outside looking in as it stands right now.

Throughout, this exercise reminds me of the prior editions.
Opinions are like noses, etc., etc.
We can only go along for the ride. It'll all be good no matter how it plays out.
imo, of course...

Not everyone shares that take, but who knows? Maybe you're right.

No, but I remember watching the Branch Davidian stuff on TV when I was a kid; seemed charming.shindig wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 5:40 pmGuess you've never been to Waco...jeesh, what a shithole.InfiniteJ wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 5:28 pmMan, Baylor wins the men's basketball championship a few months ago, has won 10 games or more 5 out of the last 10 seasons in football, had a Heisman winner not all that long ago, woman's basketball program is elite, the track & field program is elite...yet, they could be left out in the cold...crazy.NewtonHawk11 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 23, 2021 4:44 pm Seems like a Baylor thing. Re: Conference Realignment..?
SI is saying that one of the main reasons OU wants to leave the Big XII is because it doesn't like 11:00 AM kick-offs. What a fucking joke.
Re: Conference Realignment..?
I'll admit that I know the early kick-offs provide KU an unfair advantage, given our long run of football championships.
Re: Conference Realignment..?
A win for me, medium term, would be KU not getting into the whatever super 64 and being the best of the actual amateur collegiate sports.
Re: Conference Realignment..?
I feel the power 64 or whatever is primed to make a professional conference of their own leveraging college brands, decades or centuries old, based on younger players, and will minimize actual college where you go to school to learn things, and play a sport for said school, and make it a pro league where star players are more important than the schools and the history behind them.
If KU is "left out" of that...bummer.

KU won't be left out. Total sports revenue from 2018-2019, KU was 28. 3rd in the Big12 behind the two shit programs causing all this mess. Little brother was 48. Fix the football program, upgrade the stadium and KU is in the top 20 for revenue brought in.
Re: Conference Realignment..?
Did you just say fix the football program? Really
Hey we gonna fix the football program let us in Big10

Re: Conference Realignment..?
Sorry man didn't mean to piss you off. But I thought it was pretty funny.
This is about football. It was about football 10+ years ago. We have done absolutely nada in that time.
We are not getting in any other conference because of our football program while we might get lucky to get in another conference.
All I'm trying to say is no one wants to add KU Football to their conference.

Re: Conference Realignment..?
The dynamic is different now that the SEC is going 16. The B1G will need to expand. If not us…who? We expand the geographic and media footprint, and bring a basketball program (I know, I know) that absolutely lets the B1G at least claim there isn’t a better league.
