Conference Realignment..?

This is about football. It was about football 10+ years ago. We have done absolutely nada in that time.

We are not getting in any other conference because of our football program while we might get lucky to get in another conference.

All I'm trying to say is no one wants to add KU Football to their conference.

Based on this, KU is 3rd in sports revenue in the Big12 behind TX and OU and 28th overall. Basketball obviously brings in the biggest chunk for KU, but even with a respectable football program, I would think KU would move up. These are pre-COVID numbers.

Football requires a few doormats in each conference. KU benefited the favored few in the Big 12. The last 10-years proved that wasting time with Texas teams was a terrible mistake for KU. It was really the SWC reborn.

I don't really blame Texas. This is the path things have been headed down for the better part of a decade. Super conferences = WAY more marquee match ups = more interest = more $$$. Simple. Texas is just making their move now so they can be the ones who start the domino effect.

If KU gets an invite to the B1G, then I'm fine with it. But in the meantime, it's putting the rest of the Big12 members in panic mode. They destroyed the SWC and now, most likely the Big 8/12. Screw em.
