Sparkling water 10x out of 10.

Unless there's a charge of course. Always grinds my gears when the waiter asks "flat or sparkling" right after sitting down and I find out afterwards that I bought Pellegrino bottles at $5 each.

Do you like soda pop?

Do you call it soda? Or pop?

I used to LOVE Coke classic growing up. (And would still take Pepsi, though a little begrudgingly). Sprite too.

But nowadays that shit’s too sweet for me, even though I miss the bubbles, and having flavor to a beverage.

Enter sparking water! It has all the bubbles, and lemon or lime or other natural flavors, and no sweetener.

I think it’s actually not as hydrating as flat water - something about how our body absorbs it with the bubbles or something. But it’s still more hydrating than anything with a bunch of sugar and/or caffeine in it.

Interesting week to post this as I finally just bought a water carbonator rather than paying Costco for cans of what is likely carbonated garden hose water as P&T and Trad suggest.

Didn’t we have a thread a while back about how bottled water was dumb?

We have our own carbonator. Nothing better than an ice cold glass of it with frozen condensed raspberry juice and a lemon twist.

I'm from Kansas...its pop

I drink pop rarely....and beer.

But neither of them when im truly thirsty. I would never grab a coke and think.man that went down smooth snd my thirst is quenched.

I mean, drink whatever you want...my wife hates regular water...i hate carbonated water. Oh well. I feel like carbonated waters are the IPA of H20...you drink one and immediately want a real water to (A.) It made you more thirsty and (B.) To wash that garbage taste out of your mouth.

Lobster was hard core into alkaline water, even though, not surprisingly there's no scientific evidence to support it.

I think it's pretty dumb and harmful to the environment, and in most places drinking water is cleaner anyway, and where it's not it makes more sense to filter it rather than drink bottles.

But, then there are the times when bottled water is just way more convenient...so I think it should exist, we just overuse it by like 100 fold.

I didn't take a science class after CHEM184, so what do I know, but the "pH balanced water" is just a marketing campaign I could never fall for. Got into a huge argument with an ex over paying a premium for it.
