I don't. LeBron usually only yells at guys like Chalmers and JR Smith it seems like.

James is going to love Westbrook. Dude plays hard all the time. He may inspire Anthony Davis to start playing hard a little more often.

Barnes over Suggs is crazy. I think Suggs is going to be really good.

Not to mention, Russ wouldn't be there without at least a blessing from LeBron to the front office. He's a hometown kid too so Lakers had to be his dream team to play out his career with.

Lakers still need a really good three point shooter to be a title contender.

They're going to end up with Melo too.

But yes, they need multiple shooters to go around their big 3. Maybe McLemore can get another shot with them.

I read the Lakes were interested in Buddy Hield. That woulda made sense. This doesn't unless you think both Bron and Davis won't be healthy for much of the season and you need a guy to carry the load in the regular season to minimize the load on them.

You're not a Russ fan so there's that. But dude is an assist and rebounding machine. Regardless of if he's taking them from his teammates or not, the other team isn't getting those.

Obviously buddy hield is better long term, but in a 2yr window maybe 3yr window, Russ is going to be better than Buddy. Faults and all.

Added bonus that he can step up if LeBron or AD go down.

I disagree Russ will be better for the team then Buddy otherwise I wouldn't have posted, "that woulda made sense".

Do the Lakers need an assist rebounding machine when they have Bron and Davis?

I'd rather Hield or Fournier for them.
Stat stuffing 28 percent three point shooting gotta have the ball in his hands Russ ain't it.

Russ trade doesn't mean they can't get those guys too...teams want 3 superstars. Hield and Fournier aren't even all stars or the best players on their current teams. Not sure what assets they have left to trade for those types of guys? Or if they'll seek those level of players out in free agency?

Regardless of Russ hate, dude averages triple doubles and is an elite NBA player. Hield and Fournier are both several tiers below Russ. Come on maaan!

If I had the choice between Hield or Russ on the Lakers, I'd choose Hield.

Didn't work out so well with Harden
44-28
4th in western conference.

If "work out" only means championship then no it didn't work out.

It wasn't great. It wasn't awful.

He averaged 22.2pts 11.5rebs and 11.7assists. Harden averaged 24.6pts 7.9rebs and 10.8assists....so they coexisted just fine. Team just wasn't good enough to do any real damage in the playoffs.

And for the record i do not think this makes the Lakers the favorites by any means. Health. Age. Supporting cast. lots of things have to go right for them to win it all. Building a team via trades and free agency is hard. Bucks did it the organic way mostly and with 3 fitting main pieces and good supporting cast. Suns mostly organic as well. Same formula for the most part.

We just saw it this year, the stars have to have help and the pieces have to fit offensively AND defensively.

Lakers had to do something and entertainment purposes wise Russ is a California native, went to UCLA, and is one of the most electric players in the league.

It's not like they missed the playoffs. Were you expecting them to win a championship?
