Their last bit of credibility was lost during the BLM protests/riots last year when during a lockdown they encouraged everyone to ignore the same lockdown mandates they had insisted upon and to gather in mass for protests. and when some protests turned violent and destructive they made excuses for the riots and declared them "peaceful protests"
You’re a piece of work man. I’m really surprised you’re actually vaccinated. Does your family know?

This weekend, 80,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines will expire in Arkansas. There simply weren't enough people in the state willing to get their jab — even though cases and deaths from the delta variant are rising there at an alarming rate...

Yep they know. I got vaccinated because I am around a couple elderly family members in poor health. It might have been pointless to get vaccinated since we now know the vaccines do little to stop the transmission of covid and vaccinated people keep contracting it. Vaccines are statistically proven to help minimize the risk of symptoms (particularly death) of covid at least. But the thing is even without vaccination my odds of either not having any symptoms or only having mild symptoms are really really in my favor. same as every person

The only thing that has negatively impacted caliber of schooling in our district has been having teachers teach both in school students and online students. They should have has one teacher at each grade who taught the online kids so the in person teachers could be dedicated to the kids in person.

I fully expect that the kids will be masked again and so long as they either eliminate or separate online teaching, they will have a completely normal year.

Less than 0.001% of fully vaccinated Americans died after a Covid-19 breakthrough case, CDC data shows

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/31/health/f ... index.html
Less than 0.004% of people fully vaccinated against Covid-19 experienced a breakthrough case resulting in hospitalization and less than 0.001% died from the disease, according to the latest data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The data highlights what leading health experts across the country have highlighted for months: Covid-19 vaccines are very effective at preventing serious illness and death from Covid-19 and are the country's best shot at slowing the pandemic down and avoiding further suffering.

Greg Abbott has had a rough year. The polls are not going to be kind when he’s up for re-election.

After 11Sep2001 we enacted additional sensible security measures to prevent a similar occurrence. Some may argue that there were measures which went a bit far (removing shoes) but for the most part we all complied/comply.

The jingoistic drummers (Freedom Fries) are the same ones now actively trying to undermine safety measures in the face of a crisis that has killed 150 times as many and is showing no signs of relenting.

Did they have the same “well there isn’t a huge likelihood of another airplane related incident so we’ll let people make their own decisions about bringing guns and box cutters on board. It’s all about FREEDOM” arguments then? WTF.

If people had any inkling the amount of personal privacy and freedom they handed over to the Patriot Act after 9/11, they'd feel like idiots at what they are protesting now.
