^ this is fine to see. They have every right to march for their beliefs.

Just don't gofundme for the embalming and buriel of your corpse if that's how you end up.

Cool?

While I actually agree with them that it should be (their body) their choice, it begs to be asked - what percentage of these people are anti-abortion rights? Has to be over 50%. Right?

The problem as I see it with DeSantis working the medical side of COVID 19 is that he has less time to spend prepping for his oncology surgeries and prescribing needed medicines.

When you consider how many times Trumpers hold Florida up as the model of how COVID should have been handled? Yes, it makes him a strong GOP favorite to be their nominee in 2024. Baffling, I know.

But it makes more sense when you factor in that they just don't seem to give a shit about the actual impact of their choices. They seem to be in love with the notion of standing up and giving people they disagree with the middle finger. It's the social media patriotic tough guy's wet dream. They "Choose Life" except when playing Russian Roulette with a deadly virus, going to war and supporting cops who crack brown/poor skulls. So long as it's collateral damage paying the consequences and not them personally, it's fine. Especially if they can make a buck off it.

Kind of like if you’re killed while not wearing the mandated seat belts?

People need to be more realistic about covid. Its going to exist and going to spread. Accept it. The vaccines don't stop it. Now let's quit flushing our country down the drain in the name of "covid safety"

Thats why people like politicians like DeSantis. Hes more realistic and less sensitive. Thats what this country needs. Less sensitive people getting triggered by everything. Stop playing the blame game. Florida is a huge state with a ton of people. Its really not that bad.

What is it that is "going down the drain"?

Like I said, the wanna be tough guys are eating up Desantis' performance. His character is one of their favorites in this silly reality show they are watching.

You realize that's a poor analogy, right?
You realize who masks help to protect, right?
Drunk driving is a far better comparison than seatbelts. But if you don't get that yet, then you aren't even trying to actually understand anything.

The similarity is that in life we have choices to make, not trying to talk about drunk driving. You risk getting Covid by not wearing a mask and you risk getting injured in an accident by not wearing a seatbelt. That’s all, it’s not complicated.

Jazz Fest in NOLA canceled.
Between work, family, and my personal life, I'm about done mentally in regards to Covid.
Can't take a whole lot more of this shit and it seems it may be never ending.

This is just insanely off base. The primary benefit of masks is to keep you from giving Covid to other people.

That's a very important distinction!

Masks are more like interlock devices than seatbelts. Sure, they offer you some protection (you're lowering the risk that you get hurt), but the primary benefit is for those with whom you (or your virus or vehicle) might interact (with or without their consent).
