Same reasons.

Re: Totally random thread
3 thoughts/questions for a Monday evening in August.
1) A couple of cops were shot in Chicago over the weekend. A female cop was shot in the face/head and died.
Her name was Ella French.
Police STUPIDIntendent Brown called her Ella Fitzgerald multiple times.
The dumb motherfucker still has his job because......????????
2) The sky is currently yellow (no - the sun isn't blue). There are tornado warnings and watches in effect. Meanwhile, I can see multiple boats out on Lake Michigan.
The dumb motherfuckers have death wishes because.......???????
3) The management in the building I live in sent an email telling residents they are now (once again) required to wear masks in "public" and "community" areas in the building - including elevators. There are signs posted in the building as well.
Many people are choosing NOT to comply.
Today I had two guys NOT wearing masks in the elevator with me and two other residents (who were both wearing masks).
Clearly the dumb motherfuckers don't feel rules apply to them and don't give a shit about other people's health and well being because......??????

Re: Totally random thread
The answer to these....and most of lifes questions is......say it with me now...
people suck.
people suck.
Just Ledoux it
Re: Totally random thread
True. People suck. Not all but most. Most being 50.1% or more. Much if not most of the time myself included.
Moving on......
Today's example of Gutter's Law.
Sunday night I was in bed and being the fat-ass that I am, I ate some chocolate covered caramels in bed.
I though they all went in to my mouth. Apparently I thought wrong because when I woke up yesterday morning there were melted chocolate covered caramels (plural) on my sheets.
It looked like someone shit in/on my sheets. I had just bought these sheets and I paid a considerable amount of money for them.
Of course I wasn't happy.
I tried my best to scrape what I could out/off of the sheets and the rest was pretty much embedded in to the sheets.
I took the sheets and at first put laundry detergent on the melted caramel stains and then tried to clean them in the bathtub. I was somewhat successful but not completely successful.
I took the sheets and threw them in a laundry basket and figured the next step was to put them in the washing machine. I took the laundry detergent and tossed it in the basket with the sheets.
I figured I would throw the sheets in the laundry machine this morning.
Well, dumbfuck me never screwed the cap to the detergent on tightly so ALL of the 95% full detergent "bottle" leaked/poured all over the sheets. Of course some spilled out of the basket and on to my carpeting.
Moral of the story is....... To put everything in perspective - Yes, it sucks to be Gutter but of course it could always be worse.

Re: Totally random thread
moral of the story should be, don’t fall asleep eating chocolate-covered caramels in bed
Re: Totally random thread
Moron of the story is..... Me.
So......
I was debating starting a new thread titled - A day in the life of.
Here are parts of my day today. I know we all have shit that happens to us on a daily basis but plenty have people have said to me, there is an abnormal amount of shit that happens to you (me).
I can't argue with that.
1) I left the Nike store and walked in to Galter Pavilion at Northwestern Hospital.
I was sitting relaxing looking at and responding to my work emails and all of a sudden I hear and see a frantic woman screaming. Everyone freaked out. The woman stopped but then started screaming (and crying) again. Clearly she was extremely distraught. A couple of nurses approached her and then told me and others that the woman just lost her son. Now it was somewhat understandable that she was freaking out and going through a traumatic episode.
The woman wouldn't stop screaming and crying so I told the nurses that someone had to do something to help the woman and get her out of the "lobby" area of the hospital because many other people were freaking out and scared.
Well, it turns out her son didn't die. She literally lost (as in couldn't find) her son. Still understandably traumatic for her but obviously not as traumatic as if he died. About 2 minutes later a kid about 12 or 13 years old shows up and it's her son. I mean what the fuck? It's not like this was a little kid. I started to think maybe he is mentally "challenged" but in observing him, his mother, and I assumed his father, - he didn't appear to be. A nurse stood there and consoled the mother and I watched someone go up to the mother, child, and assumed father - and go ape shit on them. Explaining that it was asinine for the woman to behave in the manner in which she did in the middle of a hospital. Call me an asshole but I feel he was 100% right in doing it.
2) Not long after that incident I went looking at apartments with my 88 year old mother and a real estate agent.
I walked in to an apartment and there were a shitload of college and pro football photographs and paraphernalia in the apartment. I looked and tried to figure out who's apartment it was. His name is Mike Barry and he played at Nebraska and Southern Illinois in the 60s. He coached at many places including Southern Illinois, Arizona, Iowa State, Colorado, USC, Tennessee, North Carolina State and the Detroit Lions. My mother was oblivious to all the things on the walls in his "office/study" but I couldn't take my eyes away from all the stuff he had. It was very cool to/for me to see all the photos of him and the coaches and players he coached and played with.
When we left the apartment I said to my mother, "Do you know who Mike Barry is"? She said, "Yes, he's a very nice man. His mother used to sell me cosmetics". I then told my mother it was his apartment and my mother had zero clue. I don't get it. How did she not notice?
Anyways, point of my sharing all of that is I did a Google search of him and found this.....
He's a good man!

3) As I was walking home from my mother's I decided to go to Nordstrom. As I was walking over there I heard a shit ton of sirens. Ambulances, police cars, and fire trucks.
Seems some African American gentlemen decided to start shooting at people. Either the motherfuckers had really bad aim or they weren't actually shooting at people because supposedly the police didn't find anyone who was shot. Unless of course a shooting victim/s fled - which is entirely possible. The police did catch one of the shooters - with a gun in his hand.
At what point do we as a country decide that if someone shoots at another person in an aggressive (not defensive) manner - that person gets a bullet in their head (or sentenced to death) and that's the end of him/her? Jail is too good for these assholes.

Mrs 99's car is in the shop. She's currently driving mine. Not sure why I feel uneasy about this, but I do. It's kind of freaking me out, and I know that it shouldn't. It's just my car, why should it worry me that she's out driving it?
I told her not to move the seat, mirrors or jack with the radio. I'm 6'1", she's like 5'2" so of course she's gonna move them.

She's not hitting any forest service roads. Ha, her fear of heights will keep her from driving in any mountains.

4. If 99 is 6’1” and his wife is 5’2” then who would you guess has the proportionately bigger wingspan?
5. Do you guys like fried green tomatoes?
