1. Where has ousdahl been all week?
2. Is anyone totally bummed out about the covid thread, and existentially in general?
3. I haven’t been caught up about a girl all week! You’ve been caught up about a girl all week!
4. If 99 is 6’1” and his wife is 5’2” then who would you guess has the proportionately bigger wingspan?
5. Do you guys like fried green tomatoes?
1. Locked in a basement while some socialist wookie "girl" exploits all of your resources?

2. That which cannot be changed by you individually shouldn't bum anyone out too much.

3. Break up with her.....if you can escape the basement.

4. I thought all that mattered was tats and hip height

5. I hate all tomatoes. But i love things that tomatoes make.....salsa, pico, marinara etc
1. Image
2. Yeah but plastic straws lulz
3. I’m not texting her for at least a week.
4. Yeah, I’m sure Mrs. 99 has some badass ink
5. If you love the things tomatoes make, then have you tried the tasty breaded fried discs that unripe tomatoes make?

No ink in Mrs 99.

No tomatoes for Tdub? I'm kinda shocked. I live for mater season. Sliced with just some salt or in a BLT with good sourdough bread. Can't get enough of 'em.

Before that stupid movie came out, fried green tomatoes were generally only served in the fall, before the first frost killed all the plants. The green tomatoes were picked, sliced, breaded and fried to avoid waste.

Yeah, grocery store/restaurant tomatoes tend to be bland and mushy and forgettable if not gross, but fresh garden maters are a whole different thing.

I like to rub my face in a tomato plant, cuz it smells so damn good.

And that’s a pretty good fact about fall fried green tomatoes. I always thought it was just a fun snack before they were ripe.

But yeah a buddy let me pick from his garden. Gonna fry some up tonight.

Also gave me some cucumbers. Currently picking. Just put some sliced cukes in a jar with vinegar water salt and dill. Is there more to it?

My grandfather used to carry salt with him to the garden...pickem fresh and eat them right there. My whole family loves them. I just never got the taste. I think its a texture thing maybe? I dont know. Hate them.

We pick all of our green tomatoes before the first frost, wrap them in newspaper, and store them in a box. About a month later we have fully ripened tomatoes.

Me as well. That weird semi-gelatinous goo inside is a hard pass. I can handle fresh tomatoes if they are diced and only the meaty portions are used in some sort of spread/salsa/dip etc.. but just a slice of fresh tomato? Nah, no thanks.
