Totally random thread
Re: Totally random thread
When my daughters were in their late single digit age (they are 18mo apart) they would play in the backyard for the longest time, mostly making up their own games. One summer they concocted this awesome tomato preparation, all from stuff that they found around the backyard - they took cherry tomatoes, wrapped them in basil leaves and tied them up with chives. They were just flavor bombs!! They are in their mid 20s and still make it from time to time
Re: Totally random thread
Still can't quite believe we are moving our daughter off to college tomorrow.
Re: Totally random thread
Put the tomatoes in bag with a couple of bananas. The bananas produce ethylene that will speed the ripening process. I had my doubts when I was told this. But it works.defixione wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:33 amWe pick all of our green tomatoes before the first frost, wrap them in newspaper, and store them in a box. About a month later we have fully ripened tomatoes.TDub wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:28 amMy grandfather used to carry salt with him to the garden...pickem fresh and eat them right there. My whole family loves them. I just never got the taste. I think its a texture thing maybe? I dont know. Hate them.jhawks99 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 12, 2021 10:15 am No ink in Mrs 99.
No tomatoes for Tdub? I'm kinda shocked. I live for mater season. Sliced with just some salt or in a BLT with good sourdough bread. Can't get enough of 'em.
Before that stupid movie came out, fried green tomatoes were generally only served in the fall, before the first frost killed all the plants. The green tomatoes were picked, sliced, breaded and fried to avoid waste.

Re: Totally random thread
When i was getting (maybe selling) 1lb bricks of shitty weed in college I would throw orange peels in the freezer bags to soften it up and make it seem fresher for whoever got it next. It would also add weight so when people would get (buy) it they would also think i was hooking them up. Even made it smell nice. SCIENCE!
Re: Totally random thread
Ha, I remember the orange peel days.
I had a buddy try to soak a bunch of beasties in sugar water, thinking it would make the weed look more crystally and taste sweeter too.
He showed it to the buyer, another buddy’s older brother, who took one look and called him an idiot.

Other asshole tricks to sell to noobs would be to bake lettuce or spinach to mix into the seedy ass stemmy bullshit that used to be sold to add to the weight.

Re: Totally random thread
I didn't sell weed to 8 year olds. And i wasn't selling nickle bags.
Oregano on the stem couldn't pass for weed to anyone I ever sold to. Plus I wouldn't even know where to get lbs of oregano on the stem.
