(You're not going to get a specific, relevant answer here.)
I feel like it needs to be on the record though. Like a casual reader needs to see, "ah, guess username michhawk really is completely full of shit."

Fine, and of course I agree.

But a specific, relevant response would be to play away from type.

You have to understand that the vagueness is the whole point. As it must be, when all you've got is canned, reductive talking points occasionally supplemented by gotchas that would be at home in a middle school classroom.

FOLKS used to say shit like that? What happened to the FOLKS?
If it was that simple we would all agree. The problem is the "cure" comes with a catch. And some of these "cures" seem to cause more problems than they fix

I agree.

Which is why one ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The vaccine is safe, that's not necessarily true for the medicines, they have lots of side affects, bad enough you'd never use them on a healthy individual.

Take the vaccine, drastically reduce your chances of ever getting sick, and by connection, drastically reduce your need to take any repurposed or experimental drugs.

And I think your response highlights your own ignorance, and the problem with a largely scientifically illiterate population. A vaccine is not a cure, it's a prophylaxis. It prevents you from getting sick in the first place and if you do it makes it significantly milder and significantly less lethal.

The "700,000 deaths is a small number" is a total bullshit argument that we need to stop too.

The only things that killed a similar number of Americans in that time frame are cancer and heart disease, and we make a big fucking deal about those as well. We spend Billions of dollars on research and treatment, and people try to prevent both from occuring. The only difference is they're not contagious...so they are less apt to effect someone else, if you don't want to wear sunscreen, fine, your carcinoma isn't contagious. You want to be inactive and eat poorly, fine, it isn't contagious.

You know what else about heart disease and cancer. They tend to only kill old people and people with other illnesses.

And....there isn't a single cause of heart disease, or a single type of cancer, we lump them all together. We don't do that with Covid19. Usually that would be lumped in with infectious disease, but even by itself, it's a significant killer.

Would love Randy's thoughts on WW2 casualties if 700K isn't a big deal...

Just ran in to Michael Wilbon. Not sure why - he was standing at the exit of a drive through/walk up Covid testing facility.
I can only assume he got himself tested. Hopefully negative.

He's the guy in the blue shirt tan/beige pants.

We are going to start seeing more of this, especially once we get FDA approval.

I think/hope initially we will, but over time, assuming we need boosters every 8months for many years, I don't think most businesses will choose to go that route permanently.

I wonder if the precedent set for abortion clinics would be applied here and the physicians forced to provide care? If there’s one certainty in life it’s that Republican office holders will twist themselves every which way to impose their ideology and cling to power

Doctors and nurses in the ICUs want to treat people with covid regardless of vaccination status. They are special people. They don't see this only through the political lense like many of the rest of us. Their life's work is saving sick people. They treat people of all races and ideologies. They treat good people and bad people. They save lives of good people and bad people. Special people.

(Edit: sorry, i now see you're referring to private clinicians/primary care physicians....i think they have a little more say in who is on their client list)

What baffles me are the doctors and nurses who aren’t vaccinated.
