Berries are another one of those things that are a bajillion times better when fresh picked.

I’ll go to town on a wild raspberry bush if found on a hike.

And if no one has ever been to the PNW, it’s hard to overestimate just how many blackberries are everywhere up there.

Oh! And we had a mulberry tree in our back yard on whatever street I lived in in college.

Yeah, so so good. Def sweeter and not as tangy or tart as other berries.

It seems like they’re harder to get good fresh ones though, but maybe that’s cuz Midwestern summers are a wildcard. One good wind storm or heat wave and the crop is crap.

Nothing like indigenous mangoes in season in SE Asia. Same with bananas although they are in season year round. Fresh ripe pineapple is a close second. Bananas and mangoes which are available in N American markets are as close to eating garbage as one can get. A banana isn’t suitable for eating unless there are a good number of dark spots on them.

Huckleberries are awesome. Way better than blue berries. We go pick lbs and lbs usually. Havent made it uo there this year

WTF kind of lazy reporting is this? That reddit thread is over two years old, and didn't even try to confirm any of the story. And barely mentions it wasn't a bullying situation but a fight? We don't know what the other girl did to the daughter. Father is for sure the asshole here.
