why should a vax card be any different than a driver’s license, birth certificate or social security card?
if it’s important enough, you’ll take care of it. of course, accidents happen...but the overwhelming majority of adults can, ya know, act like responsible adults

Not for nothing, but that would still mean 10 million don't have cells, and 50 million don't have smartphones (if this is all humans, not just adults). Probably closer to 7 and 35 million if just 18+.
Fun Fact, homeless folks have a similar demographic of cellphone ownership as the general population
"Despite fraught circumstances, the large majority of people experiencing homelessness remains connected and tech savvy.
"Ninety-five percent of people who are homeless have mobile phones, and 80 percent of those have smartphones," said Spriggs. "Often they might be on prepaid phones, with no credit, but they access free Wi-Fi to get online.""

And, hey, fun fact, but incarcerated folks have a similar demographic of cellphone ownership as the general population!

Yeah, but to get into my office, I had to upload my vax card to my company before I started. I know a lot of places are like that around me.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 10:47 amI doubt that those people are too worried about whether or not they can attend a game at Arrowhead if they lose their vax card. Of those 50 million, how many don't have a drawer in the place they live where they can keep documents they'd like to keep track of because they may need them? I'd hate for my alleged lack of empathy for the plight of others less fortunate to result in an unreasonable expectation...

"21.3 million households were cost burdened—of these, 11.4 million households were severely cost burdened."
So that's households, so I would assume around 1.5 people per household. Seems like a significant amount aren't so much worried about drawers, and care more about just having a door that locks.
And I think your well off ass can afford the tickets to the game. But even I cannot afford the parking.

Haven't seen you vocally calling for ID to vote. But you want proof of vaccination for access to healthcare? Schools? Work?twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 10:44 amAnd?!? If I leave my drivers license or credit card at a store it causes all sorts of hassles, including not being able to purchase things, board flights, etc... I don't see you calling for us to "fix" this issue so that we can get an instantly issued replacement for those items.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 10:37 amPeople lose things. Records get misplaced. If you start limiting access to healthcare, schools, work, grocery stores, it has unintended consequences.
Limiting access to a museum or concert is one thing, but when it starts to creep beyond those recreational/leisure activities it gets much more problematic.
Keep track of your shit or you may have a problem. It's called adulting.
Like i have said, i support it if it is thought out and well implemented. But i have my doubts.

Very easy to get your official vaccination record from your State authority. In California you go here https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov/
You can download to your computer and use it for verification. My wife traveled overseas and uploaded it to the airline website.
I’m sure other states have similar provisions. I think someone posted some links a few pages ago. Forms a solid foundation for a vaccine passport.

Feel free to provide a link to any post of mine where I called for proof of vaccination for access to any of those activities. I think I made one smartass comment about how unvaccinated people should be prioritized behind vaccinated people in emergency room situations and that's about it. But keep making up stupid shit.BasketballJayhawk wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 10:50 amHaven't seen you vocally calling for ID to vote. But you want proof of vaccination for access to healthcare? Schools? My company required employees to submit their vaccination status (card) in order to avoid having to deal with more strict office policies regarding masking/social distancing...twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 11:04 amAnd? My company is NOT requiring vaccinations, that said if you are NOT vaccinated and coming to the office you're required to wear your mask 100% of the time. If you ARE vaccinated, you only need to wear your mask when moving around the office or when you're within 6' of someone.

Mine paid me $50 for each round of shots.
They didn't make me submit anything. Just honor system. Email HR with date of dose and which brand and if shot #1 or #2.
Re: COVID-19 - On the Ground
Dunno, but I uploaded 3-4 months after getting second shot. I keep mine on my fridge like a drawing of a turkey.twocoach wrote: ↑Thu Aug 19, 2021 11:04 amAnd?
