"I would consider a nurse or doctor refusing vaccination to be inadequately trained."

There are jobs where I don't think being vaccinated should be an issue - but zsn is right here -- it directly applies to your job and the basis behind the fundamental principles of what you do.

No, if it's a life and death situation, and there's someone there who can help, I don't care if they are vaxxed at all ( i mean, if there are two people who can help, and one is vaxxed, i would choose that one - but you know what i'm saying ). But I think believing in the science behind the vaccine should be a no-brainer if you are in the medical field. And then ( not to mention ) you are around compromised people daily, treating their compromised conditions.

if you’re in the medical field, belief should have nothing to do with it

you should UNDERSTAND the science and clinical data, otherwise you’re in the wrong place/career

I don't think I'd willingly trust an anti-vaxxer with any task requiring critical thinking skills.

Again. Its a really scary concept that all these businesses do not care about your own personal choice in relation to your body and medical treatments. Forcing 100 percent of people to get a treatment for a virus that doesn't or barely affects 90+ percent is ignorant

And its not an "anti vaxxer" issue. Its about freedom to make your own medical choices. Which is super fucked up that its controversial

Thats a terribly dumb comment. First of all I chose to get vaccinated months ago. Someones vaccination status is not a reflection of them as a person tho. And I do care about people, which is why I think we should always have the right to make our own health decisions without facing consequences or backlash

Why? If youre vaxed then your risk is the same either way.

Its also not about them finding new jobs.

Its about not having enough trained staff to fill positions in fields that sre already stretched thin.

Also, without rehashing the whole damn argument. Its about setting a slippery slope precedent.
Unless they have a damned good medical reason I don’t want an unvaccinated medical professional administering treatment to me. I would consider a nurse or doctor refusing vaccination to be inadequately trained. I would have no confidence in the medical care they are about to provide me. It’s not unlike having a policeman who didn’t believe in STOP signs or speed limits.
Lol. Ok. I dont stand on as high of a moral high ground when I'm bleeding out my ears or having crippling chest pains. But more power to ya for sticking to your guns
I suppose then you’re going to let a landscaper do bypass surgery on you because it’s all about patching hoses and tubes. Why stand on the formality of elitist medical training!

I will once again bring up there is some hypocrisy in being pro-choice and vaccine-mandate.
Certainly less of a stretch in comparison than giving an employee sick days and forcing an employee to get a shot.

All the businesses are making these mandates to cover their own political insecurities. Downside of woke cancel culture

The consequences and backlash is that your very poor decision to not get vaccinated is causing a global health crisis to continue for the foreseeable future…

And its an imperfect vaccine. A few people have died from it. Many felt more sick from the vaccine than they would have from covid itself. And vaccinated populations can still contract transmit and even die from covid still

So its not impossible for covid it to mutate within vaccinated populations into a strain that is vaccine resistant. Over time that might even be likely

There should be consequences to you replying to comments without reading them. I am vaccinated. And you still quoted me crying about me being unvaccinated

Speaking of terribly dumb comments (and ignorance) - You said, "Forcing 100 percent of people to get a treatment for a virus that doesn't or barely affects 90+ percent is ignorant".

1) When we had "shutdowns"/"lockdowns" and even "mandates" it affected a hell of a lot more than 10% of the US population. It's still affecting more than 10% of the US population in many ways.
2) Have you ever had a loved one hospitalized for something major?
I assure you if you care about them - it affects you (and others who care about the loved one) too.

So please let's not pretend the only people who are "affected" by the virus are those who become severely sick from the virus.
