The big reasons why some other countries have vax passports or similar for their own citizens is because they don't have enough vaccines for their entire population yet. Or, they have different versions, like A-Z, that take 8-12 weeks before someone can get the second dose. Slower process, slower movement toward 70/80% vax status.

That problem doesn't exist in the States.

630,000 and climbing. NBD right?
Just in the US.
For almost 2 years? Not really a big deal. Its about how many die from cancer or heart disease in 1 year

I fail to see how a pandemic killing six hundred thirty thousands Americans could possibly even be blown out of proportion.

Bingo! I said this almost word for word to a friend yesterday. We shouldn't even be discussing this shit at this point.
100% agreed.

If you keep in mind about 3 million people die every year in the USA. 630000 deaths labeled as covid deaths over the course of nearly 2 years isn't that much. And key word is labeled as covid deaths. At one point the cdc said 94 percent of "covid deaths" had other contributing factors

Do you guys think that 630k number is inflated? None? Some? Quite a bit?

The way this statistics were compiled was skewed too. I knew a guy who died in a motor cycle crash and happened to have covid with no symptoms the time. But covid was listed on the death certificate and he counted as one of those deaths

My uncle's grandma stubbed her big toe in 1932. Yup, covid.

I would not want to be the one in this situation trying to argue that a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of Americans is actually not so bad.

Particularly when, from the outset, the people I aligned with the most on the issue (and who were in control) were openly intending and trying to minimize the statistics.

So yes 630k people died with covid but the amount of people that truly died just from covid is a small fraction of that. And over the course of 2 years thats a small number

There are probably some states that overstated their totals and some that understated their totals so like bad ref calls in a basketball game, it averages out over time.

good to know that US politicization and dem hysteria are contagious globally

surprised the rest of the world isn’t blaming the dems for their covid problems...

the lack of logical thinking expressed by some here is truly astonishing

I’d say it’s low. Remember the nuts out there faking the cause of death on death certificates because they’re too humiliated to call it Covid?

The cdc also reports about 600k people die each year from cancer or from heart disease. Covid killed about half of that in one year.

Again, being the one taking these positions should probably cause some introspection.
