There’s a lot of pushback among online fishing/interest communities.

Most influencers are viewed not as influencers, but as attention whores who don’t actually know what they’re doing in their sport/interest, but get all the attention (and endorsements), and take attention from others who do know what they’re doing, cuz they post pics with their ass hanging out

Looking at the OP, it appears this fisherwoman athlete has 270,000 followers. Maybe fishing has a huge following and I am completely out of the loop.

It seems more an issue with hunting, but happens with fishing too - these “influencers” will target species out of season, or using unlawful means to cafxh or take, just to get that trophy pic for the gram.

And when the investigation starts, all the evidence against them is already right there, well documented on a public web page.

I just hope they wear their thongs to their court date too

there was a recent gator “incident” at a reptile “park” here in SLC

stupid girl is more worried about looking good for the camera than actually providing education and positive conservation messaging...got lazy/lax and lost respect for the animal. it grabbed her hand and pulled her into the enclosure, and a guest had to jump in and help her

1) that facility is NOT a zoo

2) saying the gator attacked is really a misrepresentation of the situation, and is media spin. the animal mistook her hand for food

3) this girl, and others that work at that facility are all about sexualizing themselves for fame...their “messaging” seems to always take a backseat
