It's a little different though. While the execution of it was a massive fuck up from overestimating the Afghan military, at least they're out. And that means that we'll go down from 1906 soldiers dying in the Obama administration, down to 63 during the Trump administration, down to 13 in the Biden administration, down to 0 in the next.

Glad we are out of there. I hope we do not ever find ourselves in a position where we are weighing an invasion and long term occupancy of another country but I don't have my hopes up. We seem to rarely learn our lesson.
