CNN's report of an interview of Sidney Powell by Australian reporter Sarah Ferguson. US reporters could learn a lot from SF. No emotion, well prepared and pushes back professionally.

Plus SP is a nutcase.

This is how I generally feel about NPR reporters

though I’m told, by both sides, that even NPR is controversial. What a time to be alive.

(I’ve always thought NPR wasn’t more popular just cuz it’s so damn boring. Why should Mericans listen to someone simply report the news, when they could listen to someone shout the news instead?)

There was one interview between Mary Louise Kelly and Mile Pompeo that was freaking wild - how Pompeo threw tantrums and Kelly kept composure and stuck to the agenda.

Kelly asked a question about the Ukraine and Pompeo looses his shit. He starts barking at her about being so unprofessional, and suddenly asked/suggested condescendingly whether Kelly even knew where the Ukraine was on a map. She said she did. Pompeo then produced a world map without countries labeled (who just carries that around?), and demanded she find the Ukraine. She found the Ukraine.

(Fun fact - I tried this on my own, but think I accidentally found Belarus instead. Can you find the Ukraine?)

I’m trying to remember how it concluded - I think it was Pompeo saying any questions about the Ukraine were inappropriate either way, and abruptly storming out of the interview.

I think I saw that one.
My R friends believe that there is no difference between NPR and MSNBC.

NPR isn't boring. My 3 year old now asks for it on the way to daycare. Thank God, I'm so sick of Frozen.

These are the type of people Trump surrounds himself with. If you’re a Republican, how do you feel about her and others of similar mental incapacities in the QOP?

One of the great tricks we’ve pulled (so far) is that my 2.5 year old doesn’t have any awareness that the car stereo can play kid stuff.

People say don't look a gift horse in the mouth but one of the many silver linings in my not being with the ex and her daughter any more it is the ability for me to listen to NPR and hear what I consider to be soothing voices INSTEAD of being with the ex and her daughter in the car listening to what they considered to be music and I felt was nothing more that noise and worse to me than hearing nails on a chalkboard.

The only drawback is that if I am driving late at night listening to NPR, the soothing voice I am hearing has the ability to put me in a trance - while shit music tends to keep me wide awake.

I played Dare and Murphy in the Morning on the way to school. My kids loved it. I occasionally had to click over to NPR when they went too far.

I think I've told this story before, but I let Mrs 99 pick the radio station one day and this song comes on. It's got kind of a cool grove and isn't nearly as bad as some of the country pop stuff she listens to. Then the dude starts singing and I say, "Did that dude just say he was going to take his horse to a hotel room?"
"Old town road you moran."
"I still think he said 'hotel room.' "

Commonly misheard lyrics could be its own thread on the Off Topic board.

One girlfriend totally thought Jimmy Eat World's The Middle went like this:
It just takes some time,
little girl you're in the middle of the ride.
Elephant, elephant will be just fine.
Elephant, elephant will be alright.
And she was into early 2000s pop-punk!

I’m trying to find the tweet itself to embiid, but apparently Peppa Pig was trash talking on Twitter for getting better album reviews than Kanye

When I was a youngin', an older kid at the skating rink used to sing "Betty and her tits" to the Elton John song.
For years, I was convinced that this was the lyric. "She's got electric boobs...."
