KU at Coastal- Official Game Thread

Kansas +26.5 O/U 52

Coastal basically returning EVERYBODY. McCall is a stud. They are efficient as hell. Defense is fast and physical. Overall just a fun team to watch.

Kansas now has a game under their belt with Leipold. Coaches finally got to see them in game action. Got to study actual game tape in their scheme. Bean with a nice 4th quarter GW drive. He already beat the QB rushing stats that Kansas QBs had last year.

Think Kansas comes out much improved. Running game will surely be better executed, even though the defense will be much better from Coastal.

Think Bean finds a nice groove early on. Think his arm talent gave the staff some confidence to open the game up a bit.

Don’t think the atmosphere will be too wild. It’s a smaller stadium. All these guys have played in bigger stadiums with bigger crowds.

That being said. The Jayhawks Are Coming. Just not tonight.

24-10 at halftime. Then Coastal wears Kansas down.

I made the mistake of bragging about Bean's potential in the NFL thread. Given protection, I think he is a multi-tool QB who will develop into something special. Given constant sacks and Stunts by LB meeting him by surprise on run plays, we may never know. But tonight is a good test to see where improvements have been made. Wish they had simply cancelled them last year and focused on a slower build this year. We seem to schedule non-con teams with everyone returning who have a desperately narrow window for getting national attention.
