It sucks. But is it possible to feel for everyone in the Israel Palestine situation without “taking a side?”
It just seems like a lot of he said she said bullshit. And at this point i dunno if identifying some narrative of “who started it” does much good.
Just yet another humanitarian tragedy. Let’s all try to look forward and get along…and/or just get it all out of our systems in the QT thread
Has nothing to do with Israel or Palestine, that's just the setting. Regardless of the setting, that's a sitting MoC praising a terrorist. It's similar to, but actually even a little worse, than the pubs that do the same with Ashley Babbitt
so what you’re saying is, you’re taking a side? Cuz you’re awful quick to label her as the terrorist.
Or rather, do you have a source that proves she, apparently a phd student and a mother with a young child, really did decide to be the aggressor at a military checkpoint by ramming her car and then taking on a bunch of soldiers, with a knife?
I dunno if a young mother phd student fits the typical profile for a terrorist. The fam says she just took a wrong turn down a road under construction. Dunno if that completely adds up either.
Again, you don’t hesitate to label her as a terrorist. You realize much of the world doesn’t hesitate to label Israel as terrorists either? And sadly, neither side is necessarily wrong.
I don’t mean to cast doubt, and don’t mean to take a side. But I do mean to once again mention it seems like a lot of he said she said bullshit. And it’s a humanitarian tragedy.
Let’s assume the Israeli soldier account is accurate. And I’m not trying to condone a thing here in asking, but - what sort of circumstances must exist to prompt such terrorism? This doesn’t sound like some orchestrated attack by some radical network. It sounds like a young educated mother who suddenly decided to take on a bunch of soldiers with a car and a knife.
The whole situation stinks. And a huge part of the problem is, so many refuse to consider the problem might be both sides.
Again, is there any way to just look forward and get along?
