If your point is that Texas will win the same amount or close to the same amount they are now in the SEC, we aren't arguing against that.

The argument is, since the SEC is more difficult, if Texas were to have a decade of loosing, that could end up biting them in the ass, despite the allure of the SEC. That is the risk.

Success doesn't appear to be as large of a factor in the following of Texas football. As evidenced by their recent record and still being top revenue earner and top 10 in attendance.

Dozens of basketball.

Compared to a grand total of zero football and 1 basketball game at the actual college i attended.

The correct thing to say is, "oh, yea, it could be a risk, but I don't think much of one, because I think Texas will maintain at least a reasonable level of competitive football -- i don't think they'll hover around .400 ball."

This still acknowledges the risk that you asked about but presents your stance on what you expect the successes of Texas will be.
